This just screams bad use-case or bad code. You're going to get the most out of recursion from almost anything that involves DaC algos, Tree/Graph traversal, nested data, etc. Either your implementation was poor or you didn't actually have a 'legit use'.

In practice linking to something weird like Google Drive or mediafire comes off as suspicious since that’s how a lot of people try to spread harmful stuff. And being able to properly use source control like Git and sites like GitHub can only make you a better developer.

I would love to believe that, but as a moderator for this subreddit for years and a professional educator, my experience says otherwise.

The user posted an assignment and just said “it doesn’t work”. The acceptable response is to gently guide them to why, without giving them the answer, which this user is doing. What that user needs to do is exactly what this user suggested, read the problem again, carefully, and compare their logic to the logic requested by the assignment.

If you’re not going to comment in a helpful way, then refrain.
