I’m curious what you expect the high schoolers to talk about. They live in the same neighborhood but they don’t care that Cathy planted new azaleas or trash will be picked up on Thursday instead of Wednesday this week.

I feel super awkward when my in-laws ask what to get for gifts so I make my husband send over our registry/wish list/ideas. Now they all know to ask him!

We asked my in-laws for books and consumables like bubbles, chalk, stickers, markers, play dough for the kids. You could ask for things you would need for vacation like swimsuits and water toys.
