We have a bit of it here in Portland of all places, but it's not particularly common. It annoys me, even as someone who voted for Trump. Church is not the place for politics.

I'll talk about the thing no one wants to talk about. It's gonna be super weird and honestly a little 'cultish.' The ndowment itself is a long video dramatization of the creation, followed by a very ritualized prayer circle and re-enactment where you will be asked to recite passwords and tokens (handshakes). Nowadays, there will be someone to hold a script card for you, so you don't really have to worry about memorization. At some point you will be asked to be asked to change into ceremonial clothing. The Washing and Anointing, which is done before the Endowment, is similar to a priesthood blessing and anointing.
It won't make sense the first time, but the key is going back frequently.
This video was very helpful for my first time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBRMxYiwx_g&t=1418s&ab_channel=ScriptureCentral

Probably not as he arguably does not meet the residency requirement. It would depend on how the courts rule on the definition of residency.

This person lays out exactly how to do it.
Boring, Oregon. It is indeed very boring. Government Camp is also kind of an interesting name, and we also have a place called Wanker's Corner.
