While I don't disagree, I think Oba became a star when he picked up the mic. For me, at least, that's when he showed that he was a different breed. Anyone can squash a guy in minutes. Not everyone can captivate an audience with a promo, while being that same monster.

That could be true. I say that because some of the issues you've mentioned isn't exactly tribalism. It's a strange time in NJPW, but they're fans are wired so very differently in the US. You could catch up on the G1 leading up to their upcoming events

Heck, you could also just watch some RoH. It's still ran by Tony Khan, but it's a bit lower stakes, just wrestling and stories being played out with minimal external influence. Might be more your speed atm.

Did you know that if your problem with a show is the fan base, you can stop interacting with it and enjoy the show on its own? It's almost as if you're perpetuating the problem yourself.

On the WWE side, yeah, that just sucks. I only care about the women's division at this point. Even then it's hard to evade the MAGA stank, monopolistic actions, fucking Logan Paul, their obsession with unfunny conservative comedians, just mismatched priorities.

That said, there's more wrestling out there than just WWE or AEW. A lot of it is very good as well.
