I was thinking the same. How the hell are the sea chickens #1 on this list?

Even_Speed_8939

This is a very underrated comment. Thanks for the laugh.

I don’t know, man, I have also been watching the Vikings since the 80s. And it feels like a 6-0 start really doesn’t mean much of anything because we can always find a way to blow it. I think that’s the misery is people can see that there is an obvious weak link in this team and everyone is waiting for that shoe to drop.

The defense is awesome to watch, and if by some miracle we made it to the Super Bowl with this defense it needs to go down in history is one of the best all time. Also free back massages to the defense for carrying the team. And Will too.

Wow! That is a beautiful buck, well done!

“Madden, fantasy football and fanduel…”

Something tells me that will never happen but as others have said, anything is possible.

Even_Speed_8939

I agree. Even if his schemes were truly genius, if you can’t get players to execute it, you need to adapt to the talent you actually have and what they can do. To me, the most critical role of a head coach is to get everything you can from your team. You can simultaneously build towards the team you want, but you need to win with the team you have. You can argue he’s doing that, but the quarterback situation over the last couple years and guys going on to have success elsewhere, definitely puts his offensive prowess into question.

Even_Speed_8939

Right now? No. But after 5 seasons if we don’t win a playoff game, I think it’s a reasonable response. I’m not saying he should be fired even after a playoff loss but it’s not an unreasonable take.

I also think the offense has been anemic for going on 2 seasons now so I think it’s fair to question that.

Even_Speed_8939

This is such an underrated comment. It feels like in the era of fantasy football and mainstream fandom, this is totally accurate. I think it’s fair to criticize the lack of production to an extent but this is probably one of the best defenses Olathe NFL has seen in the last decade. Also, Vikings fans are familiar with “juggernaut” offenses and it hasn’t ended well. Hopefully the offense hits a bit of a stride later in the season and the defense keeps its intensity.

I was out tonight and one of my cameras died this week. I have 6 cameras on my property. My field had 13 deer including 4 shoot able buck for me.not one of my cameras picked them up. Cameras tell you what deer are in front of your cameras. That’s all

Even_Speed_8939

If you legitimately only care about meat in the freezer, then don’t worry about it. Anything is appropriate. A doe, a button buck, whatever. Just hunt deer and don’t worry about what Reddit or Instagram says. Just enjoy the hunt. The thing that makes you a better hunter is killing deer, not waiting around for giants (you’ll struggle in the moment of truth), not waiting for approval from the online community. Learn how and when to draw on a deer, how to field dress it and how to butcher it. Nothing else is important.

Mine actually came with the kydex sheath.

Even_Speed_8939

I bought one last year. It’s a great knife!

Even_Speed_8939

His yardage was impressive yesterday, even in garbage time. But I assume that based on the tape NO had on JJ, nobody assumed he’d do what he did. So this could be all the stars aligning.

That said, why is nobody more annoyed that he showed none of this when he was here. Maybe being traded was the thing that woke this kid up and made him realize it wasn’t going to be given to him.

Personally it annoys me he shit the bed so much when he was here and showed none of this. I don’t know who’s to blame or to credit for this and I don’t think anyone is but he’s on the opposite side of the field now so I don’t really care about his career at this point. He’ll never be a Vikings QB so what it is what it is.

Even_Speed_8939

I don’t think you can script a shot better! Well done!

Even_Speed_8939

That’s a good idea. My little guy doesn’t like walking in the dark so I need to work with him on that.

Even_Speed_8939

Congrats man! I have a 5 year old and can’t wait for his first. Proud papa moment!

Even_Speed_8939

I just came to see if this was an issue for others. My dealership wants 150 to check and diagnose it. I know this is little but after a half a dozen or so recalls including an engine replacement, I am so sick of this truck.

Even_Speed_8939

I so badly wanna see hitman get his 40th. Of all the accolades that’s the thing I want to see happen the most I don’t know why it matters so much. But that was really great to see Byron Murphy pick up two of his own. God the defense is so fun to watch.

This is nowhere near a hot take. This was discussed pretty heavily in sports media at the time. And I think pretty heavily among fans as well. I think time has distilled this down to the one kick, but you’re absolutely right. The Vikings defense collapsed. In fact this year‘s team is very much the inverse of that team. I can’t believe that shit was almost 30 years ago now.

Even_Speed_8939

Man, there is a lot of extreme takes in this sub. I’ve been watching this team for a long time now and threw a lot of head coaches. I definitely like what I see at a KOC for the most part. I think he’s a good coach, I don’t think he’s elite. But I think a lot of his struggles have come due to personnel and not necessarily coaching itself.

I’m really happy to see him adapting his system. Cause I’ve never been a fan of systems coaches. The best ones always seem to adapt to their players in their abilities, not try to adapt the players to their system. It seems like KOC is getting the memo on that. The offense is coming around and it’s doing what great defensive teams tend to do, don’t make mistakes limit, turnovers and control the clock.

But I also think it’s fair to reflect on the fact that he’s five years in with no playoff wins yet. I think he’s a good enough coach where he deserves a longer leash. When you factor in how this team has played over the years especially last year when they were basically playing spoilers and they ran the table on those last few games. He has the team playing with heart and I think that is something you have to consider. But I also think he needs not only producer winning season, but he needs to produce a playoff win at minimum. I don’t think everybody will agree on that, but it’s not an irrational take if we come out of this season with a solid record and shit the bed in the playoffs in the first round.

Even_Speed_8939

Please record this if it works…

Even_Speed_8939

I actually did watch the full video. But it seemed pretty clear to me that he was preaching a philosophical shift in the last nine games leading to this undefeated streak. Not focusing on stats base football, and winning on the leg of our kicker and our defense.

My point here is that if we don’t open it up overtime we’re gonna be so out of practice that when we have to use it or we might not be able to. Because the scale is just not there in the risk taking ability isn’t there. I’m not suggesting that’s necessarily the case, but that would be the counter point to it. And I honestly think fantasy football has a lot to do with the outrage today versus a 30 years ago and people would be loving this kind of a victory.

Maybe I’m seeing something different, but he seemed to be prescribing a very specific formula way to win and not really addressing the elephant in the room that is the offenses really struggling and there is a risk to when your defense doesn’t have a great game and gets burned, and hopefully that doesn’t come when it counts but more than likely if we see it that’s the time we’re gonna see it happens when it really counts.

Even_Speed_8939

I understand his point but I also don’t agree with it. If you underutilize something it because awfully difficult to execute it when you need it. There needs to be more than one way to win a football game.

But the flip side is that they are playing smarter football. And I think the frustration is a result of fantasy football and how audiences choose to enjoy it. Not entirely, but definitely somewhat.

And seeing Kyler take some chances himself and succeed makes me hopeful that we may get to a point where if the defense struggles, we still have a chance to win games. It’s not all doom and gloom. This defense is hella fun to watch!
