Nah, this was the concert around Labor Day this year.

Thanks for sending over the article. However, after reading through it there are no specifics on the impacts on healthcare with this tax.

Andrew Villeneuve makes a compelling argument against the phantom tax stance though. To his point, I would raise that if the people voted against this type of bill historically and it is against that State constitution, then this bill/budget expectations are an exception rather than the rule.

Your metaphor is akin to the situation where I plan my family budget in 2029 hoping that I get that promotion I’ve wanted for a long time. So I buy a new mini van and take a risk on that promotion coming in. Who would do that?

Just curious, and please don’t shoot me down for asking this question, how will this initiative remove programs that nurses depend on if this tax was literally just put into law? It’s hard to believe that it “takes away” programs that only just now depended on the new tax that everyone knew was going to be put to vote.

Might be just me, but this article did not articulate the specifics very well on the impact before the millionaires tax and post increased revenue collection.

Thanks for the help. The dealership technician didn’t clarify if it was active or stored. However I brought the car to them in the same day so hopefully that helps my case.

If I get a transmission rebuild or electrical motor rebuild covered under warranty I won’t be complaining. I just thought the transmission issues were resolved with the 2024 model year which is part of the reason I bought this vehicle.

Great…

The Interim Ordinance passed by the city, while with good intentions, shows how going too far on one extreme can be a bad thing. The old rules were too prohibitively expensive and the total lack of rules is also an extreme. I would love to believe we live in a society where cars are not needed, but let’s face it people will need cars to transport themselves to work, kids to school/daycare, or even elderly who cannot use bikes.

The behavior will not change just like it didn’t with the States tax and policy on plastic bags. People will still drive their cars and be forced to park on streets. A great example of this is what happened at the Granary…then local business petitioned the Port to add, wait for it…. more parking…..guess who paid for it? Tax payers.

It makes you really question the school boards priorities when they layoff newer, cheaper teachers, but keep the highly compensated individuals. Especially confusing when you consider that there are schools that each have multiple principals making close to $200k/yr and new admin positions, but admin staff in general have not been reduced proportionally to teachers.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll try that plan once the cards come back.
