Say that on a call to a supervisor and it should get sorted.

They can’t just change the terms of your agreement if they didn’t specify that early payment would reduce the term.

It simply is a higher income than the vast majority of people are on; it’s objectively a high income in the UK. As in, you are a higher earner than most if you’re on it.

It shouldn’t be, and you definitely don’t get enough out of it, but calling it what it is doesn’t make it any less likely to be improved.

Turns out average is 41K now, which is still low. But I’m on 27K; I’ve been on 50K and lived very comfortably outside of work, but the stress of earning 50K ruined my mental health, so there’s no way of achieving it. So considering 100K is DOUBLE the most comfortable wage I’ve ever earned, it’s perfectly valid to call it a high wage.

We can agree to disagree but objectively, if only the top 4.2% of UK workers earn 100K plus; then it’s a high wage.

Same here, there were plenty of people in private school there because of bursaries and scholarships covering most or all of the fees. Plus many private schools allow kids with dyslexia or autism to attend by utilising grants from the government.

Attending private school is no real indicator of wealth.

100K salary for an individual, is a high wage in this country. It doesn’t go as far as it should, but it is a high wage.

If one person is earning 100K, I would assume as a couple you’d have a household income of around 130K+.

But yeah. It is about how skint we are. 100k salary for an individual is enough for a standard middle class life now, it doesn’t make you wealthy. It’s high, in that it’s far higher than the average, and very few people attain it as a percentage of all workers; but you’re right, that this “high” wage, doesn’t go far at all.
