We already know they won't.
Source: I'm not an AI and work in software. AI is just a tool. Being worried abouut it taking over the world is like being worried about a really advanced power saw taking over the world.
The real concern is the people using the AI, and always has been.

Calus and the witness' cutscenes were also really well done. The lesson is that the story should have been about cabal the whole time, apparently.

It's worth noting that you only need to start at the last point to pop the shield, after it's down, you can movd to the head. It cuts down on your DPS time, but is much safer.
Also start damage at the chest.

Normal production, but they were banned anyway because, according to the regulations, they literally were not considered "woman enough". Michael Phelps is praised for having the weirdly perfect body for swimming, but instead of praise, these women get banned because of their biological advantages?
The whole point is that if a man transitions and is able to keep the strength and speed of a man
Trans women fall within the ranges of cis women for their muscle mass and lung capacity within 4 years. I really don't think you should be speaking on the issue if you have literally no knowledge of the transition process and the effects of hormone replacement therapies. Regardless, that's why these rules on hormone levels exist because trans women can and do fall within the normal ranges of cis women. Though, they clearly aren't perfect and never will be, but the fact that the 2 women were outright banned shows that the rules clearly need some adjusting.

Like there needs to be tests or something. Estrogen/testosterone levels would have to be within what would be considered normal limits for female athletes in the same sport.
This is literally how it works now. Trans athletes are allowed to compete in the olympics and have been able to since 2004. Regardless, the system for testing actually disqualified 2 cis woman because their testosterone levels were too high.
Also, minor side thing: transgender is an adjective. So "a transgender" is functionally the same (grammatically) as "a chinese". The correct terminology is "a transgender [woman/man/person]". "Transgenders" would also be equivalent to "japaneses"

Also the "teeth" of the weapon look much closer to that of an orca than a shark.

The sparrows are transmatted from our ships. Glimmer is programmable matter that can be turned into anything. When the sparrows are damaged/destroyed, either they are beamed up to our ship and repaired, or are remade then beamed down. Quick repairs and transmatting would be a lot easier than building a new sparrow, hence no cooldown. That being said, yes, it is unrealistically fast... but also, it's a video game. Not everything needs a perfdct explanation. I believe our weapons are also stored on our ships unless we have them equipped, but I'm not 100% certain of that.
We don't teleport everywhere because it's a video game. But if you want an in-universe explanation, it's (presumably) expensive on power for our tiny ships to transmat a person and/or incredibly complicated compared to moving equipment.

The heavy glaive with wormgod's caress is also super fun. It's hard to maintain the 5 stacks, but when you do it just 1 shots anything that isn't a boss.

The big ball showed up a few hundred years ago and gave us advanced tech. Then the doritos came and blew us the fuck up, but the ball made them go away and released the ghosts when it did that, giving us space magic. The doritos came back when the traveler woke them up a few years ago.
The Witness wants to end the universe by merging the ball and a space potato
The Hive want to kill everything cause they believe that's how the universe works, and so it does. They got so good at believing this that they could carve out pocket dimensions that allow them to stay alive after being killed so that they can do more killing. They also must kill, or they die because they have parasitic worms that are fueled by murder. They got tricked by giant worms (the same kind as the parasites, just a shitload bigger, Ahsa is one of these worm gods) into this pyramid scheme of murder a long time ago, and have wiped out many civilizations.
The Eliksni (Fallen) wants the ball back, but Eramis (leader of darkness worshipping fallen) wants the ball dead because it left the fallen a long time ago, and she wants revenge. The fallen are the closest to humans in terms of the alien races, IMO.
The Cabal want to take everything over because they are roman space rhinos, but caital was like "alright you guys are pretty badass, we won't blow your entire ass planet up and we'll help stop the universe from being destroyed, I guess"
The taken are controlled by the hive god of war xivu arath, savathun's sister. They are basically just the hive but with more mind controlled alien friends. The ability to take (advanced mind control, essentially) was learned by Xivu's trans brother, Oryx, when he killed a worm god.
Now go, shoot shiot bang bang to your hearts content

IIRC they regenerated extremely slowly, but I don't think there was a way to heal a chunk of the shields like you can with Cure in D2.
FLAMINGASSTORPEDO
Although in practice that modifier just meant "you don't have shields after they run out once". There were no ways to charge shields with it IIRC.

No, the task is gold because it doesn't reset every season... because it resets every other one. So the most recent dungeon had to be done for rank 11 every time a new dungeon comes out (unless they change the requirements for ranking up, obviously)

She's definitely meant to be acting as a metaphor for American military veterans returning to civilian life. She's going to be thrown away to drive that point home, because that's how America often treats vets. The taken corruption is her not being able to adjust to "normal" life. War is her normal life, and Xivu is absolutely going to try to take advantage of that.
Plus I just think it would also be a cool setup for taken guardians as an enemy type, and to have her be a boss later on as part of the lead up to the final shape.
That all being said, the last few seasons have been very pro-therapy and "living with your past" themed, so it's entirely possible she beats the corruption. I could see it going either way, but I lean more towards evil sloane as a way to show that, no, not everyone "makes it back" from hell.

Good game made by shitty company = "I don't care how good it is, I'm not supporting the shitty company"
FLAMINGASSTORPEDO
It has nothing to do with the shield. Shield is the ADS button. It's because the melee overwrites your uncharged melee ability with the uncharged glaive/sword swing, and the primary fire activates the "melee ability" the sword has, and is the ranged fire of the glaive.
This shouldn't break the dedicated charged melee button, but it does because the weapons both give you a totally different melee ability. It's an artifact of legacy code that (presumably) made it easier to implement sword abilities by the devs a long time ago. This is also why certain features, like the mod that recharges your melee ability when you activate your class ability, don't work when you have a sword or glaive equipped.
This would be why Monte Carlo would be such a complicated catalyst. That entire chunk of code would probably need to be totally restructured. Interestingly, this actually would be even more of an indication that that's what the catalyst is. They've mentioned changing swords and glaives next season (or the one after?), and updating both to work with the charged melee button would be easier if they've already written some of the code to do that with Monte.
FLAMINGASSTORPEDO
If you have a sword or glaive equipped, the charged melee button doesn't do anything. Like, it doesn't just do a regular melee. It does literally nothing. The concern here is that if Monte does that, it would break the whole point of the gun.
FLAMINGASSTORPEDO
Yes, and you and anyone that thinks that it's any kind of a solution at all are what we call "wrong."
It isn't a good idea. It is literally just "this is icky make it someone else's problem." It isn't even "pay someone else to deal with it because I can't." That would at least be something. Your view is simply, "Make it leave because I'm uncomfortable." That's some serious pearl clutching shit right there. Be better, and have a shred of empathy, please.
I get the safety concerns. No one wants to be assaulted, mugged, or worse, but for every criminal on the street, there's 50 people who aren't attacking strangers and just need some support. Do you want them to go away, too? I can understand not wanting to pay for the dangerous people, sure, but damn, try giving half a shit about anyone else.
The whole reason it's an issue at all is because there aren't enough resources being dedicated to actually helping people. Displacing the issue is just gentrification, which is what your idea of a "fix" is.
FLAMINGASSTORPEDO
You wouldn't want your tax money going towards... helping vulnerable populations and homeless people? Congratulations, you just said you would pay money to... checks notes do exactly what made contributed to this being a problem in the first place, but somewhere else! You know the whole idea of taxes is that the money is meant to improve the quality of life for all citizens and provide services, right? Moving people elsewhere isn't a damn solution. It's just hiding issues under the rug like a child.
Sure, it's human nature to have the whole "out of sight out of mind" thing. It isn't human nature to want to make others suffer for your own convenience.

The only nerfs were:
- Removal of +20 stat mods
- Surge replacing high energy fire (but even still, that was a horizontal change because they stack with radiant/well)
- Streamlining of the kickstart mods to not provide as much energy and all work the same way
- Finisher mods are not as effective for ability regen
- Generally needing more stacks of armor charge to activate certain mods
The buffs, though...
- Orbs are way easier to generate
- Elemental wells replaced wholesale with orbs to streamline the system (except for stasis, which took a real hit from this)
- Removal of elemental affinities
- Seriously, the removal of elemental affinities
- The mods that buff your stats while you've got armor charge
- Orb pickup mods that recharge abilites were buffed due to the massive increase of orb generation
- Artifact mods are always active
- Siphon mods make it so you don't need a masterworked weapon to generate orbs
- Loadouts (a QoL change technically, but it makes it way easier to hot swap armor/weapon sets for boss/dungeon dps phases)
Overall, with the weapon perks that interact with aubclass keywords, the changes have been a buff for sure. Would the old system with more recent mods have been marginally more powerful? Maybe, but these changes have made buildcrafting easier and more accessible, which is, imo, way more important than ability cooldowns being a tiny bit longer. (Are they even longer? Ability uptime has felt about the same for me, if not higher, but I've got absolutely no data to support that)
FLAMINGASSTORPEDO
What bug?
FLAMINGASSTORPEDO
No. You used to be able to, but they fixed it. It was kinda breaking the game because people were basically (actually?) one shotting raid bosses before it was changed to not be possible. This was also all before one-two-punch was nerfed.
I think if you slide off of a ledge and shoot, then melee, the game just treats it like you're still on the ground, but I'm not sure, I've never tested it.
I believe the nightmares are leftover psychic impressions of the grief/pain felt by the people close to the nightmares. These then spawned (in the case of the moon) from the fact that the veil was there for so long in the pyramid ship, essentially infecting the entire moon with ascendant plane egregore mycellium. The proximity of the hive may have also bent and twisted them into nightmares, rather than simple "spirits" so to speak, due to the way the hive perceive the world - through nothing but pain and death. Though there is no evidence of that, as far as I am aware.
Regardless, the grief/emotional/psychic pain of survivors being the "source" is backed up by the fact that nightmares filled the leviathan - which was completely infected with egregore, and the entire season was about people overcoming their grief and past, essentially neutralizing the nightmares when they came to terms with those past events. This all only works together and makes sense if the egregore is a direct product/part of the veil, which seems to be the case.
