It's dangerous to go alone! Take this [3D printed and painted Master Sword] (self.cosplayprops)

Do they???? I saw something but they are just g0 g1 g2 continuity, not parallel, tangent, distances, etc. Am I wrong? Can you please confirm?

FairLight8

No, no. My problem is more like... Starting with some dimensions. You construct your object with your design in mind. And then, you realize that you have to make this peace bigger or smaller... And you have to rebuild stuff. I wish that you could just touch stuff and let the other bodies, faces, etc, adjust in real time

FairLight8

Yup!! I mean, most people use blender for that stuff, but in my case it's usualy hardsurface modelling, like swords, replicas of shields, and those feel more natural in plasticity.

In any case, about constraints. Yes, it's a pity. If they added something like constraints, either in sketch mode or 3D, like forcing parallel/tangent lines, maintaining dimensions... It would be perfect.

That said, I got used to it, I guess. It's a drawback in this side, but it makes the workflow much easier from other sides.

FairLight8

I use it for functional prints and cosplay stuff. I used fusion previously. But migrated fully to plasticity. No problems at all.

  1. It is easier, much smoother in the workflow in some parts. But I miss constraints and thst stuff.

  2. You can modify them easily, and force dimensions. But I really miss parametric constraints.

  3. Used the expensive one for xnurbs but switched to the cheap after moving to Linux.

  4. Not at all. Not a single problem

FairLight8

It's not exactly like this. EA forced Bioware to develop slop games, microtransaction stuff, GaaS, that stuff. It was not going to work, of course

FairLight8

I didn't know this, but it is awesome!!

FairLight8

Much better imo

FairLight8

Solved!! I needed many hours, many hours xD. But it was quite satisfying! Thanks for the puzzle and organizing all this contest. That was quite fun and I learned a lot

FairLight8

I don't mind the new layout and the rounded corners. But the color gradient... Well... It is not too inspired.

FairLight8

I didn't know those kind of cosplays required head pieces. But now it makes a lot of sense, haha!

FairLight8

I don't mind the round corners (I like some parts of Nova but not others). But this is only positive, helps lots lf users and doesn't hurt anyone

FairLight8

It is also available as a sysext

FairLight8

Looks cool! Will try it later :)

FairLight8

Hey there, u/behackl. Trying it! Found some issues with complex scenes, mind if I open some issues? Or do you prefer if I message you through Discord?

FairLight8

While it is true, and I am not even close to the political right, and I don't like him particularly... I wouldn't waste my time doing this. These people are chronically online losers, that live for the baits of the twitter fascists.

FairLight8

Loooooooooks great! I missed this style since the problems of kara

FairLight8

I don't mind that. First, because I trust you personally. But also because my problem is not with AI itself, it is about people that want to create a manim video with a cheap prompt and forget about it!

That said... What a bad time to move to Zed, goddamn hahaha

FairLight8

That looks very interesting! Finally some help for quality scenes, not AI slop

FairLight8

Using now bazzite-dx with plasmazones. It worked wonders. I used to run aurora with hyprland layered but preferred the comfort of a full DE

FairLight8

Looks so nice! Beautiful

FairLight8

I miss hearthstone :(

FairLight8

Power user here running bazzite dx. It is perfect for daily use, for gaming and working. System extensions and distrobox solve 99% of those typical problems

FairLight8

I mean, you had some demo videos in the landing page.
