I think this is an accurate assessment actually. Yeah sure I would say the average mainlander has worse English on average, but they definitely work much much harder, show up to classes way more often than locals, study longer.

I don’t even think this is true, PKU (best university in mainland china), has average graduate salaries at a whopping 500USDish a month. While HKU is standing at about 3500USD.

And overseas (barring top of the top institutions) is no challenge at all, it’s just about money.

I have never heard of a bank transfer where NO information is given about the sender of money. Even if it’s just the bank account number you can match it up to the parent provided number (probably automatically).
