It's not worth a life if you are not getting some other benefit, like threshold, or shuffling after ordering the top.

I wrote a similar message to this one in this subreddit 7 years ago. I got a lot of vague advice that amounted to "I enjoy this and I don't understand why you don't"; and one piece of advice that was very valuable: try rock climbing. I can't say it will be fun for you, but at least for me I found something that's healthy and that I actually enjoy doing.

Some people enjoy cooking, some people enjoy math, some people enjoy working out. Others don't. It's not useful to tell someone to learn to enjoy something they don't, unless you have steps for how to go about learning to enjoy it.

Play Premodern. We're still playing those kinds of games. It's actually great.

A T6 format is not a format where nothing happens until turn 6, it's a format where it's very rare or impossible for the winner of the game to be obvious before turn 6.

Fargren

No, never.

What I think a lot about is: how much is 4% of my investments, and how much is my yearly spend. Big expenses are sporadic, annual spending meanwhile is pretty flat.

Wording issue that I think it's important. They will lose their ability to vote but not their right to vote. Laws do not determine rights. It would be right for the people who are going to be affected to be able to vote, therefore they still have the right. The fact that they might not be allowed to exercise their right is, well, wrong.

Commander is not a way to introduce players to the game, because it's not the same game. It just uses the same cards. Just like Poker and Bridge are not the same game.

I don't think an underwater set is going to be the place to look for overwater landmasses

"Faithfully applying the law" is a political opinion. If you believe you should follow the spirirt of the law, that's a political opinion. If you believe we should follow the letter of the law, that's a different political opinion. If you think you should do what's best for the people regardless of the law, that's also a political opinion.

It's literally impossible to make a decision about laws without being guided by your political opinions. The only job of judges it to give their political opinions about how to interpret the law. Their position grants them the power to make those political opinions binding.

For 7 mana that seems fair.

Also, we used to call these effects [[The Abyss]].

I was not claiming otherwise. I'm just saying that if the underlying value is 21 percent, that's a big difference vs. 24%

"Admitted" makes it sound like this was hidden. They announced the smoother during the open Beta. They were totally open about it.

Fargren

Yes it is

MTG is indeed Turing Complete: https://arxiv.org/abs/1904.09828

I'm not sure if MTG with the subset of cards in MTGA is Turing Complete though

I live in Spain, and I feel the same as the OP. Maybe we're exporting the good stuff?

Whatever is making you miserable, it's probably not the money. And also probably, it's not Canada.

I don't know you, but if you feel miserable it's probably something lacking in your life. You might need a hobby, you might need friends, you might need a sense of purpose. And honestly modern life makes these things hard to find. It's not your fault. But you need to take a long look at your life and see what was there when you were happier, and what's missing now. A therapist might be able to help.

4-dimensional chess would have been to make this legend be a Rogue so it auto-equips Cloak and Dagger

They used to have Bock Constructed as a mechanism to escape that. Even if the cards were weak in Standard, they had a home. The old model was finely tuned to avoid power creep, with limited feeding block feeding standard and so on.

It seems the current model is more profitable, so they picked the tradeoff that left competitive formats as less of a priority. Blocks were good for long term balance, but didn't sell as well as independent sets.

It's the interest rate: 6.25 compounding is a lot more than 1.5, over 30 years. That's where the interest rates are in Spain now.

Fargren

Mortgage is 20%, on 300k you owe the bank 240k + interest. 30 years fixed mortgage, so 360 months. 240,000 / 360 = 666 per month, add interest on top and it's not too far from 800 per month.

Therapy is probably a good idea. Congratulations on your milestone.

For an apartment? Yeah, outside the city center and not huge, but you can find 2 or 3 bedroom apartments around that price. I bought mine cheaper 5 years ago (prices have risen a lot) and these days that's pretty much what it's worth now.

But the OP is not looking for Madrid. Almost anywhere else in Spain will be even cheaper.

Fargren

No, probably not. But if someone who is "planning to retire", almost by definition is not retired and has a job already
