To be honest I was so confident going into Kpop Demon Hunters that the movie would be mostly girl band versus boy band shenanigans that when Rumi revealed she was part demon I was genuinely shocked.

This is technically true but the list of medium armor enemies that don’t have easily exploited weak points is very slim.

Kinda the same with light armor, it exists but usually not on weak points. There’s a few cases like Hive Guards and Alpha Commanders, and Overseers (but the armor breaks and stops working) so meh. Plus the higher stats of light pen weapons can make up the difference anyway

One, that’s not how armor pen works. It’s not a 50% decrease, it’s a 35% decrease.

Two, light armor is far more rare than you think it is.

Yeah but missing the head 8 times and connecting with the final 2 bullets for a kill is exactly as effective at just aiming at their chest and needing 10 bullets to kill them since you’re shooting a higher health target, that cuts your damage by 35%, and then there’s durable reducing it even more.

Even if you have a medium pen AR or DMR you should be aiming at the weak points, at all times, regardless unless you somehow are prevented from doing so because of a weird angle or whatever.

Head: 110 health, AP1, no durable

Chest: 425 health, AP3, 30% durable

If we’re talking about efficiency, which is apparently what we need on D10, guess which one is more efficient to shoot at?

I play with controller and I’m pushing 40, I only play D10, and I still use light pen a good deal of the time. It’s purely a skill/knowledge issue

Meanwhile…

IMO the Carbine is better. They have basically the same breakpoints and with attachments both have very low recoil, and in terms of DPS they’re very similar.

The issue with the Tenderizer is you can add Siege Ready to it and still have less ammo than the Carbine by default.

8 mags of 45 bullets each is a lot nicer than 7 mags of only 35 each.

If the Tenderizer had more ammo I’d say it’s all preference
