Not pathetic in the least- very genuine in fact. Depending on your server and faction, I know of a couple guilds who are pretty freaking awesome. We actually used to do this exact thing every saturday on our mains, go hang out at the local beginning areas and help run boss quests, etc. Keep being awesome.

You also may consider hiring a post-partum doula - my sister does it for a living and her contracts last from a week all the way up to a year...it’s mainly night nanny-ing, light housekeeping and letting Mama and Papa sleep for a bit. If the babe is EBF, she will carry babe in to Mama, then back to the bassinet/crib when eating is done so Mama never has to get out of bed.

As my husband says, she can get happy in the same pants she got unhappy in. This sounds like a perfect chance to work on your field of barren fucks. -shrug- and move on! It’s not often parental units give such clear, concise chances to roll your eyes and not respond.
