We're making FACTORIZE: 1, a deckbuilder where you use prime factorization to fight.
The game does the heavy math for you, so your only choice is how to combine your cards to get the best effects (2=attack, 3=defend, etc.). Demo is currently up for Steam Next Fest!

It's a pretty famous one so you might already know it, but Zelda: Majora's Mask is an absolute masterpiece if you love the Outer Wilds structure. I love how the dark story and puzzles unfold over the 3-day cycle.

Generating the scale is definitely possible now, but breathing life into it so it doesn't feel like a generic procedural world is where the real challenge lies. You'd probably spend 10% of the time generating and 90% tweaking.

I'll definitely look up those videos! The idea that it urges you to build mathematically more efficient factories sounds exactly like the kind of addictive loop I want.

I hadn't considered engineering and factory sims, but using math for orbital maneuvers and optimization sounds super rewarding. Thanks for the suggestions!

I've heard about Noita's crazy physics, but I'll have to look into Stationeers too. Thanks for the recommendations!

Programming-style puzzles with automation sound like a nice change of pace. I'll definitely look into it!

Haha, that story perfectly captures the vibe I'm looking for! It definitely sounds like KSP involves some serious math.

I hadn't considered a colony sim, but using math to optimize logistics sounds like a fun challenge. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the recommendation! I saw your other reply—the concept of math evolving into grammar sounds exactly like the progression I’m looking for. I'll definitely give it a try.

Thanks! We'd love to get to that point someday!

That character looks like Yanineko, I love it!
