Just watched at Regal and it was Gail Daughtry

i really enjoyed reading ur take on this and i agree with everything u said, except that Achilles loved Patroclus “only up until the point where his pride wasn’t threatened.” i disagree with the idea that his love “stopped” or “ended” anywhere where Patroclus was concerned, and i think your explanation of Achilles only ever having been loved on the condition that he was invulnerable or the aristos achaion proves that. i think it is too simple to believe Achilles only loved Patroclus so long as that didn’t affect his pride. i think Achilles love for Patroclus was never ending, however, he is still a product of his circumstance, upbringing, and everything he was taught regarding how he would need to be in order to be loved, as well as everything he was taught about his memory as a dead hero being more important than his life. i think if anything, Achilles putting his pride first was simply HUMAN! Achilles is imperfect, as we see a million times, but i don’t think those flaws reflect a lack of love for Patroclus. Achilles is flawed, his pride being his greatest flaw (and unfortunately, Petroclus’ demise) but i think that is entirely separate from his feelings for Patroclus. maybe that is what u meant and we just worded it differently, but i just do not believe Achilles did not whole heartedly love Patroclus. did he love him in the most “right” way? probably not. but i believe u can love someone in wrong ways and it is still love (of course that does not mean that i think the person on the receiving end of that “wrongly executed love” needs to or should stick around). but i do think Achilles tried his best with what we engrained into him and his love for Patroclus is of no question to me.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I did hear back on April 4th via email. Wishing you the best!

i like this theory

love this

the isles being dull/muted in color plus the fact that when benin drain the land it turns grey reallyyyyy makes me think the isles once had venin…

so they care about this but not gun safety… cool. it’s almost like dark humor like this is fostered by the prevalence of school shootings in our country- we’re desensitized.

girllllllll. we can argue back and forth about the “following naked women” thing, but the way he dealt with ur feelings? abhorrent. he does not give a crap about you and i know that’s tough to hear and im sure he love bombs u at other times so that u excuse this behavior but please for the love of god LEAVE HIM!!!

this is very sweet of you and i’d do the same for my loved one. unfortunately, they made choices and made those choices knowing full well it’d be publicized, so i don’t see them coming back from this regardless of what you have to say. while it is a competition, to completely lack sympathy and even laugh at someone’s pain is not part of the game. your brother was heartless and cruel (and i find it interesting to consider if they’d have acted that way had they found the woman in their cube to be attractive, but i digress). if it was an act like you claim, thats good in that it means this isn’t their norm, but regardless, to chose that as your “act” is a wild choice. i hope would not make those same choices :)

agree!! i could psychoanalyze the shit out of this show

ohhh!! thanks, i missed that. that’s good to know. wish he took it!!

haven’t seen anyone say this: team captains from ep.2 who rejected a million dollars for their team should’ve been granted immunity during the cube by their fellow cube members.

yes those team captains CHOSE to reject that money themselves, but they did so SOLELY based on the fact that they didn’t want their team eliminated- because they themselves would’ve been safe. so, the only incentive to reject a MILLION dollars was to give others the chance to win. i think their trio in the cube should’ve had that same loyalty and given their ex team captains immunity in this challenge. also, immunizing that one person (the ex team captain) in the trio would only increase their chance of being eliminated by 17%. the LEAST they should’ve done is taken that extra 17% chance of elimination for the ex team captain who ACTIVELY REFUSED a million for THEM!!!! and obviously it’s a competition and they can’t keep the mentality of protecting the ex team captains forever, but for one challenge? they could’ve and they should’ve. don’t know how nobody had the decency to suggest that.

pissed that the guy who was essentially homeless but didn’t take the million for his team was rejected in the very next challenge. hope Mr. Beast gave him more money.

i have the guiltiest conscious ever (i don’t even like playing White Elephant because the concept of “stealing” gifts) but i would’ve done it EASILY for a million dollars.

• while they may have bonded a lot over the past few days and that does mean something, their teammates are still strangers who they will likely never see again and have no past together for which they are owed something.
• unless you’re already a millionaire, there is no rationale/logic that makes you a villain for taking a million dollars for yourself and your loved ones, so nobody could REALLY hate you for that. yeah they’d be upset and they are more than entitled to that, but they would not think you a truly bad person, which holds way more weight.

i feel like “bestie” is an incredibly platonic thing to call a man, she’s essentially friendzoninh him publicly. i can’t speak for HIS feelings, but it seems like she just is excited to work with a friend again. don’t stress!!

u are 19 and he’s 34. breakup with him.

YOR.

we all do :) and with ur attitude, i know u will!

NOR. Ur girlfriend on the other hand, OR. I don’t think it’s inherently wrong that she mentioned that’s the bar you guys got into a fight in, as it’s probably her way of telling you she’s not over it (def not the BEST way to bring that up, but not the worst either, and maybe her best attempt at bringing up a difficult situation for her), but the immediate “Fuck you” after you just told her something she does that makes you uncomfortable? THATS overreacting. Not only is that just a nasty thing to say in general to your SO, but it was also so out of the blue??? Your reaction did not warrant that response and i’m sorry you had to deal with that, but I do think you handled it well. It seems there are other issues at play here (namely, trust) but that was not the way for her to deal with that. Whether you want to work on it is up to you and I wouldn’t think you were a fool if you chose to stay… unless this is a repeated issue that never gets better, no matter how much you both hear eachother out. Goodluck partner 🫡

ugh justice for our girl fr

One of my favorite things about college is that you don’t know anybody’s story- you don’t know their age, you don’t know if they have kids at home or if they are the kid at home. It’s all a mystery and it’s all OKAY that it’s a mystery because we are at a point in life where things are no longer just laid out for us and known. Because we are at a point in life where WE chose what we do, rather than just having to do what we have to do. My point being, A.) most people will not even know you are 30, how would someone know that unless you told them? Sure, you may be obviously not a teenager, but i’m sure you look like you could be in your early to mid 20’s easily. B.) Most people won’t even TRY to think about or figure out your age cause we are in an environment where difference is ASSUMED and EMBRACED. C.) Being 30 in college truly isn’t weird, I know you said we will say that, but that’s cause it’s true!! We don’t even know you so we have no reason to lie to save your feelings. I’ve made friends with 30 yr olds, 19 yr olds, people with children, people from other countries, people who are military veterans, people with disabilities, people who have never had a job, people who work three jobs, etc. because that’s just what it’s like being in college. Everyone’s different and nobody gives a shit about that part!!! It’s natural to overthink it so I don’t think you’re crazy for stressing it, but I do think your age won’t affect your social experience at all.

just reading this gave me full body goosebumps, i’m sorry u had to experience this :(

As someone who also fell for Celaena and Chaol’s romance (and also just a normal person with feelings), this was so tough. While I fully understood Celaena’s perspective and think she had every right to lose her mind the way she did (I mean, her bestfriend just DIED), it was so hard to see her love for him turn to deep, damning hatred in a matter of moments. And the fact that she fully would’ve killed him had Dorian not had powers?? This woman wanted so desperately to end the life of the man she had loved two seconds prior. Like it’s such a valid reaction for Celaena to have had and readers can hate Chaol all they want but I think the objective truth is that it’s just generally a really sad concept for the audience to experience- how quickly love can die (and even worse, become true hatred).

i love mixing silver and gold and rarely see it done for any rings, let alone engagement rings, so i love this
