From my research today, Pi 5 doesn't support USB gadget.

I was able to follow this tutorial to get my Camera Modules 2 + 3 working with my Pi 5:

Completely subjective but I find that because ChatGPT has more context it finds my tricky problems more easily.

My print the code, on MacOS/Linux you can do ‘cat myFile.ext’ and it prints the contents of the file to the terminal.

I have a script that files all files in the folder and does that, and adds each file name above it in comments.

Then I do ‘./myPrintScript.sh path/to/folder | pbcopy’ and I end up with all the file contents for that directory in my clipboard.

Hope that makes sense.

Yes this is a little crazy.

Read up on the 50-30-20 rule.

It says you should aim to spend 50pct of your take home pay on needs like rent/groceries/bills/debts

Your rent alone is more than 50pct of your take home.

You should consider spending more things on wants, I read more stories of people do these big rents in London on Reddit then regret it cause they don’t have enough money to go out anymore.

Wait a little bit longer, get your promotion and your take home monthly to be £6K then this is workable.

Or just YOLO it if you really really want it. And use the lack of social outings as time to lock in indoors and level up. But accept it might not be a happy outcome. For example, what if you rent this place and the neighbours are from hell? You’d have to live with the fact you’re too broke to go out so gotta stay at home all the time. That said you can have bad neighbours anywhere.

My best advice would be to consider 3 options. This being the expensive option, and the others being more budget appropriate.

Good luck.

Wow you must be a smart + disciplined to win so much over a decade.

Investing is much easier than poker. Slow buy into a low cost index fund and don’t try to be clever. Let time do its thing.

I’d suggest reading Tony Robbins “Master the Game”, this will teach you most of what you need to know and all for the cost of a lunch.

Congratulations on the upcoming kid. Best of luck in your next stage.

If you can't go up the hill then try to go around it.
1. Network at tech events & via alumni.
2. Showcase your skills with a portfolio and active GitHub.
3. Seek internships/temp roles for hands-on experience.
4. Be active on LinkedIn, Twitter, and dev platforms.
5. Use employee referrals if you have connections.

Keep fighting the good fight.
