Windows is horrendous. I hate it so much that I've been considering moving my desktop to Ubuntu. Unfortunately, OneNote on linux isn't a thing so I'm trapped.

I disagree. Modern windows is complete slop and apple's chips are in a class of their own. Apple knows there's really nothing that can compete with their laptops so they're getting cocky.

The duchy system CK3 uses is ridiculous. Realistically duchies owned by a King in his de jure realm should merge with the crown. Vassals should be unable to create the duchy, and it honestly should be really rare for them to be granted one.

It would be better If they added an estates system along with domiciles, where the domicile represented the total development of your landholdings in general. But local rulers (barons, counts, etc) could still seize your esates, so there's an actual risk of losing them.

Like...maybe you lose your crown, but because you have lanholdings in other realms it's not as if you become destitute.

The trouble is CK3 does a very poor job of simulating a portfolio of landholdings. Realistically, there should be many estates inside of baronies that are owned by various different rulers, knights, and courtiers, and then the domicile could represent the total development of your estates and assets.
