I'm with you, there.

Any time I've tried mayonnaise, it's been underwhelming compared to butter.

I actually saw this during its original cinematic release.

I don't recall much other than it basically being a remake of the original and I've only seen it the one time.

I figure John Goodman is what we get when you start wish John Belushi and remove alcohol and cocaine.

Punch a grommet somewhere to reduce the likelihood of ripping. Needs to be large enough to allow the cable through and located to reduce the chance of water ingress.

I used Minesweeper that way when I set up my mom's first computer. I told her not to worry about how to play the game. Just decide on which cell to click and practice moving and clicking. When a bomb is clicked, click the reset button.

I even put a shortcut on her desktop.

This is a wonderful example of useful things after the question mark.

In the case of YouTube, removing all that just gives you the full video starting from the beginning. It could be someone sent you a segment of a video to support some argument. Keep that in mind when deciding whether to remove the extra parameters.

It's not 100% universal, but works far more often than not.

Some sites actually use stuff after the question mark for site-specific things and won't work correctly if it's excluded.

One of the obvious tells here is all the information presented. Things like "campaignid" are more obvious tracking parameters.

I got my hundo shuckle from a dynamax raid. I'm not disappointed. I figured I was done with dmax shuckle at that point.

I loved math but hated story problems.

What's real life math? Story problems.

Being able to convert the story to an equation is a necessary skill in the real world. It's a challenge I now accept every time and get great joy when I can find the equation. Solving the equation is the easy part.

I was there when "Babylon 5" was being discussed on Usenet. The best part was the creator, J. Michael Straczynski, actually participated.

It was glorious to just lurk on that newsgroup.

Yes, like the original gravity battery, it's not a 100% efficient system. Wear in the parts is another inefficiency to take into account when deciding on an energy storage method.

Hydrogen being very flammable is another concern with electrolysis.

I'll have to check out the subcutaneous route. I rarely have issues with insulin (when I do, they're over in seconds). Intramuscular testosterone can give me a lump for a couple days that's uncomfortable.

That takes me back to when I first started buying my own music.

I bought a copy of Don McLean's "American Pie" on vinyl. It was abridged. I would later learn it was only one small song, "Sister Fatima." Might not be the best track on the album, but I don't know why it was missing. Track density?

Scream tests can be fun!

Figures I'd get the standard version not knowing this existed.

Five years ago, my level was 86ng/dL.

Last reading was 864 while taking 150mg/2 weeks.

It can aggravate certain prostate conditions.

I've been on it for a couple of years. It's been wonderful.

Pros: lowered how much insulin I was taking (type 2 diabetes), increased libido, increased energy, increased strength.

Cons: self-injecting is unpleasant but infrequent (once every two weeks), acne returned (it's since gone down).

On the subject of strength: I never did anything resembling body building. As my testosterone got lower, I felt less strong. Once I started testosterone, I felt normal again. Same with energy. Libido is now like I'm a teenager (this may be a con as it's distracting).

Thing to note: certain prostate conditions may require you to stop taking testosterone as it can aggravate them.

Hopefully your doctor won't balk at at least getting your levels checked.

I tried looking for a (pre-recorded) music store in the last few weeks and couldn't find one in my area.

I decided I wanted Dolly Parton's "Rockstar" album. CD was about $25 on Amazon. When I decided to pull the trigger and buy, it was out of stock and a third-party seller had it for $30. I don't want it THAT badly, so I wait until I see the price go back down and believe it's back in stock so I order it.

It doesn't show up when I expected. Get notified it may take a while longer than originally thought. Ugh. That's when I try to find a local store. None to be found. Maybe my search skills suck, now.

After a couple weeks, Amazon still had no ETA. I find it on Walmart's site for $25 and place the order immediately. It arrives in a timely fashion and appears to be a legit copy so I cancel the Amazon order.

Was it worth all this hassle? I can't say. I've only listened to half of the first disc because of other chaos in my life. I'm definitely not disappointed with what I've heard so far.

Part of it is you don't qualify unless you've been working enough to have paid in to the system.

The other part is going to vary by jurisdiction. If you're terminated for cause (i.e. you did something bad that warranted the termination), you may be disqualified from getting it.

Getting laid off due to lack of work is one of those "no fault" situations where you're almost guaranteed to get unemployment (assuming you've worked enough).

While the fiancee was hot, she had an unpleasant personality. One I would describe as vapid.

The prostitute had brains and a plan. She could make things happen. His life would be so much better with her.

That's what you do with tongs when you prepare to use them. Must be a minimum of two taps.

I don't trust any of those smart devices to not find an open network and just use that if you don't connect it to your own.

What's to stop them from uploading the wifi credentials of your network to their servers to supply their army of spies to use whichever network they find?

I'm probably just giving them ideas.

I want hot-swapable mechanical keyboard switches for everything.

Reminds me of the written test we had every year in high school band class. It was the only written thing all year and it was the same every time.

It was also pass/fail. You had to get 100% to pass.

It was a simple "count the beats in a measure" exercise. Maybe 20-30 measures on the page with notes, but no staff. 1, 2, 3, 4. 1 & 2, 3 & 4. That sort of thing. Super easy, buy also easy to slip and make a simple mistake to fail.
