Absolutely not, I’m asking cuz if your rates are low your gonna attract bs clients. But if you’re new, you kind of have to have lower rates to drum up business and reviews. So it’s a double edged sword and i don’t want to just tell you to raise your rates if that’s not where you’re at.

What are your rates, how long you been on the app, how many overall reviews you got? You been on here a lot lately with shenanigans and those questions will help me give you advice.

I mean sure, in the grand scheme it could count against you…but unless you’re receiving an excess amount of these or you’re canceling and forfeiting willy nilly….it doesn’t do anything. I prob have 2-4 cancellations a month and it has never affected me. I’m just trying to help other taskers not dwell on negativity.

I feel like I’m talking to a brick wall. I’m going to say this one last time….if they selected 4 hours, hell if they selected 10 hours (if that was an option) it would have still shown you as available at that time. I’m not sure if you’re not understanding me or arguing with me 😆.

I know what you’re saying, but I’m saying that’s not how it works. I don’t even know why the website has that option because it doesn’t do anything, I’ve tested it many times.

I have seen absolutely no difference on who cancels or a cancellation vs a forfeit. I really wouldn’t waste too much time dwelling on it. Just make sure you bill more tasks than are canceled and you’ll be fine.

If the payment method fails, TR will not pay out in that circumstance - that’s how i learned you’re not supposed to bill the hour, you’re supposed to cancel and collect the cancellation fee.

I’ve done em - usually they don’t tell me it’s half finished until i show up so that’s annoying (especially if it effects the time i set aside for the task) But a few times I’ve been informed upfront and i go ahead with it. I’ve never really had a problem. I keep a bunch of spare parts too, so if something’s missing i probably have the part or something on hand to make do. If something is broken i would just point it out to the client and offer any solutions i may have to fix it.

Also, the clients can’t book you for any specific amount of time. On the website only the client can select 1 hr, 2-3, or 4+ but not only does that information not get relayed to the tasker, it also doesn’t factor that into the available time slots taskers have available. So the person that booked you had no idea you didn’t have enough time for that task.

But i wouldn’t recommend anyone on this sub to look to you for advice on running a business. You don’t even work on TR anymore per your comments a few weeks so why you’re wasting your time and energy in this sub just shows you’re not any standard of professional and you’re definitely not very busy with work 😂

Swinging on a swing!!! Before i had a kid, i would still hit up a park from time to time, usually at night when no one was there…just to swing. Now that i have a kid…if it’s not busy, i swing while she plays 😁
