I've gone through two 20th so far, gonna upgrade one to TMR sticks soon. I think it's probably very dependent on usage and what games you play.

No Fighting in the War Room is way harder, All Ghillied up is a joke. Whole CoD 4 game on veteran is actually a joke if you played the Dam level in CoD 1 on Veteran on Xbox 360.

that mission in the Forest is absolute nightmare on Veteran difficulty. The rest of the game was okay. Definitely not better than CoD 1 or 2 tho.

sure, masking it by hand in Capture One, thats also easy to do but will take you some time. Another way would be to use the skin editor tool in a way where you single out that color and only switch the hues of that particular color. Lots of tutorials online if you wanna learn fast and efficient skin color tone editing with Capture One. And before you ask, imo Lightroom can't even come close when it comes to editing humans.
