My son was also smaller and I used a booster type of seat also.

It allowed him to see out the window and the seatbelt fit better.

We were in a car accident and the booster seat kept him from being injured.

Safety.

When you have a place to go, move out when he is gone and take the furniture that you have receipts for, don’t mention ahead of time.

Him coming after you versus scaring you is much more difficult.

It was a different situation when it was his family home. You are now building a home and life together.

You need to sit down immediately and get on the same page with a legal document before getting married. If he won’t budge, you need to leave this relationship.

You being able to stay in the home for a given time is the least he should do.

Btw, if you get married prior to the house being finished, your house goes on the deed whether you are in the mortgage or not.

Was this child crying it out because they woke up or didn’t want to nap yet or because the dad wanted gaming time away from the child?

Aren’t these two different types of crying it out?

His sounds like it skirts the boundaries of neglect.

YOU should file for divorce, don’t be threatened by his filing.

This is not healthy and you DESERVE BETTER!!! 💕

Better 12 than even a day more of being unhappy and walking on eggshells.

FlounderFun4008

Is your husband neurodivergent or OCD?

If not, he is the AH.

FlounderFun4008

She said 14 days per year.

Time for the hobosexual to go!

Now that you have a job, you need to compromise by paying rent.

Your rent should reflect not only how much you make, but also your other contributions to household expenses and your domestic labor. If you are buying all the groceries and doing all the chores for the home, that needs to be factored in. Don’t let them take advantage of you. Also, write out the agreement. The total should be no more than 30% of your take home pay.

Start paying for your own meds, phone plan, and individual expenses.

FREEZE YOUR CREDIT. Make an account on all three of the credit bureaus and freeze (you have to unfreeze for 24 hours when you want to apply for something that requires a credit check) your credit so she can’t open anything in your name. Check your credit to make sure she hasn’t already.

Change banks and give her no access to your accounts. Sign up for restatements so she doesn’t know what bank you switched to.

Save every penny to get out of this situation.

Then if the teacher was okay with all of the reading at one time, the teacher should have accepted it all at one time or change it to a total for the week to earn the reward, but didn’t.

Car = teenagers?

Call around and get a quote for daycare for the 3 littles.

Tell him to shut up or you will put them in daycare and he can pay that bill or pay you the amount.

Book a spa day for yourself and leave him with his children for the day. Make sure he has to feed and dress them. He did say your job was easy and he could do it.

FlounderFun4008

Take her to small claims court if you have anything in writing (even a text) that she acknowledges how much she owes you and she agreed to pay.

You don’t get the money from a lien until the place is sold.

If she doesn’t pay the small claim judgement you can take from her taxes and bank account since she doesn’t get a paycheck.

FlounderFun4008

If she’s taking an online proctored one like through ProctorU or Respondus you can invalidate her exam.

Let her know it’s unacceptable and you won’t be so kind next time. You should not be kept out of your room after 10pm (or a time reasonable to you). She needs to go somewhere else or schedule those at a better time. ProctorU I believe is 24 hours as they have proctors around the world.

FlounderFun4008

You need to match energy/effort.

You stated that it was his idea for you to celebrate monthly, but it sounds one sided. He’s asking you for specific gifts and then doesn’t return the favor. He’s obviously aware of how to give a gift as he has told you.

You are giving mommy/smothering/trying too hard vibes.

It really sounds like you are being used and maybe even putting him off by being too much.

FlounderFun4008

She is wrong for choosing to start an exam that late in your room. She should have gone somewhere else unless she cleared it with you prior that you weren’t going to be there.

You need to set some boundaries now.

FlounderFun4008

Whether it’s on purpose or not, it sounds like the only way he is going to learn value is to face the consequences of not respecting something’s value.

Since he can afford it, hold your ground.

FlounderFun4008

Underreacting!

She STOLE from you. Donating the stolen items is irrelevant.

She came in your room and took clothes without permission and kept/donated them.

She can’t be this dumb. There has to be more to this story. Make her pony up more money now or report the theft. She’s brushing it off like she didn’t do anything wrong. She needs to understand it was unacceptable.

You shouldn’t be working on getting your clothes. She needs to be at the donation center every day combing through the clothes.

Don’t accept this. It was not by accident. Accident is you having a bag and her grabbing the wrong one. SHE TOOK YOUR CLOTHES ON PURPOSE!!

FlounderFun4008

Why?

She is already adding the expenses of homeownership, insurance, and taxes for a home with a pool in her 50/50 split. Would you expect she pay for a golf membership and fees in a 50/50 split too?

Every financial person would say NOT to buy a house with someone who is not a spouse!

FlounderFun4008

How long have you been dating?

You might think things will change when you move together, but you need to sit down and have a pointed conversation with him.

Make sure you understand his thoughts on dividing up finances and chores when together. Also whether or not he is able to separate himself from his family domestically.

Don’t assume that moving will change the dynamic because it’s pretty strong right now. Also, make sure he isn’t with you to get out of his situation.

FlounderFun4008

NOR-
Not sure he is open to it, but maybe a marriage counselor or Eight Dates by the Gottman’s.

I have also found there are some male podcasters who really are great at mansplaining what women go through. I’ve actually understood why my ex gave me the ick by listening to them. Maybe he would watch/listen?

Maybe go visit your family for awhile and put some distance between you. Once you are there you can let him know that you are thinking things over because this isn’t what you signed up for.

FlounderFun4008

When he tells you not to create unnecessary drama because he’s not standing up for you means he has no backbone.

A man who will not stick up for you to his family is a boy.

This should be a dealbreaker. You aren’t asking for something unreasonable.

FlounderFun4008

As someone who had to go through probate for a family member without a will, don’t do that to your children.

FlounderFun4008

Stop paying for everything. His lack of respect is because you let him walk all over you.

If your friend offered, take her up on it so you can get out of this crappy relationship. Guarantee he stays because you pay for everything and not because he likes you. What are you going to do when he finds someone he likes?

FlounderFun4008

This is a power move by the dad.

How you and your boyfriend move forward will define the relationship moving forward.

You only pay for what you agreed to and your boyfriend needs to stand up to this behavior.

If your boyfriend isn’t going to stand up and/or distance himself (get a new job), you need to reconsider this relationship. Things won’t get better.
