Sorry, we have been closing on a house and the guy wouldn't take out all of his stuff. This will be my office, with a black desk with some white with gold hardware. My idea was to fill in the gap at the back with the bookselves to make it flush on the back wall, and paint the wall on the right with a matched or similar navy blue, and put an ivory white with blue accents rug to section it and brighten it a bit. I thought about doing the acoustic slat wall panels in oak instead of painting the wall navy blue, but I don't think it would look good, but maybe I'm wrong.

Sorry, I'm very new and have been trying to do research on my own. Have you seen those Acoustic Slat Wood Wall Panels? Where its like one column of wood sticking out and then black? Thats what I was thinking. In the picture, the wall I was thinking about putting them on on the accent wall shown, but its a wall that leads into an outside corner, not an inside corner. So I wasn't sure if it would look terrible.

Yea I hate it too, thats why I'm looking for ideas to change it!

Four2one3

Don't get me wrong, I hate Nex as much as the next guy. I hope Arcane goes through making the Breaker BiS at Nex like he said. Inquisitors is BiS crush armor though, no? Its even getting a huge buff next week! You'll almost certainly be using Inquis all the time rather than Torva for the Breaker. Its kinda funny, I think Torva could be thought of as the "BiS tank armor" since oathplate and eventually inquis are more often used. In terms of loot table design I think your suggestion works, but it still leaves Nightmare in a tough spot

Four2one3

I know the Justi part is a tough sell, but it's an armor that is a true relic of OSRS's past. Not like Ring of Endurance is a very good reward nowadays. What you proposed for Inq could work, but it might be confusing to the average player. It also leaves ToB out to dry, which is a big problem IMO.

Four2one3

I see the vision with Torva, but Nex doesn't have a bloated drop table atm, which is why I thought of Inquisitors instead. Ik the Justi is a tough sell, but IMO calling it "BiS" is giving it a lot of credit. There is almost no where in the game you actually use it, except for particular use cases, and it's not BiS anywhere at all. If you put Justi on Nightmare, then we are back to the same problem of a bloated loot table

Four2one3

ToB is good money *for now *and basically completely relies on Scythe for that profit. Its not healthy, and with a second melee megarare coming into the game, it's not gonna look good post release IMO.

Four2one3

I feel like that would be a waste, no? Yea it's not very good, but what if someone finds a unique use case? That's why I said to put it in Sepulchre! I'm sure the mage tank inf capers would not be pleased with it's removal, haha.

Four2one3

It is true. From what they said in the Summer Sweep Up, they are interested in making the unique drops more common with removing some of the items from the table. I hope they will still do this. Maybe even buff the loot table there because it's so awful.

For the runback, I think the idea is more related to the area itself rather than the boss interaction. First off, if you didn't know, you can unlock a guy that is a shortcut to the boss. Shaves a couple seconds from the run back. I think Jagex wanted this area to feel hostile. Like how Ape Atoll felt 20 years ago. Getting attacked, draining stats. Nothing massively consequential but something to drive home that its "dangerous" here. The uniques crashing ofc comes with initial hype and KCs. The Kisten, like I said, might be a bad example because it will probably be relevant for raids 4 and go to the moon. The rupture we'll see, at the time of posting its still going for about 142m for the necklace.

Four2one3

I just thought of this too, maybe the boss drops a bit better loot the faster you kill it. Maybe the lore implication is that its dissolving in its stomach or something. I wouldn't put too much more on it though

Four2one3

That was my thinking. This is not a boss designed for you to get consistent loot at.

Four2one3

I wouldnt say so, many people have rejected the premise or haven't understood why this boss is designed this way. See the S2L clip that was in the video, I genuinely feel people are really misguided with how this boss is designed

Four2one3

You think its too high?

Four2one3

I would think that the "perfect kill" (depending on how you define that. The boulder shatter is pretty hard to dodge on the second landing) is not a terrible idea. I would say that the reward of perfect kills is how fast you are killing, but I wouldn't mind higher chance at venator teeth or maybe some dragon bolts or wrath runes wouldn't hurt it too bad.

Four2one3

It depends how you would define a "perfect" kill on the boss. Like taking 0 damage is REALLY hard because of the boulder shatter that drops all the stuff that the grubs eat on the ground. If you exclude that, I can see a world where it could work. However, fundamentally I think the reward of perfect execution is shown in the time to kill! It could live without it, but I don't hate the idea personally.

Four2one3

Oh well, then I don't like your opinion and I take everything personally!

Four2one3

Sure, I'll give it here if you like. Essentially, The design of the Maggot king and its skill ceiling feeds into its drop table. It is easy to kill, you can kill this thing with a cudgel and a fire staff. The skill gap is your ability to kill it quickly, not if you can survive it. Think DMC vs Ninja Gaiden. The loot tables matches this because of the technically low buy in to kill the boss. You are rewarded for killing it fast and often.

Four2one3

I'm confused, could you elaborate?

Four2one3

thats true, I haven't thought of it from that angle tbh. I guess wrath runes wouldn't fit the table huh!

Four2one3

I was getting this too, so its not just you. The way I'm timing it is clicking right before the hammer locks in to place above the anvil.

Four2one3

Am I out of line or is this a pretty cool idea for a megarare? Maybe its like elemental water similar to emberlight? Nothing concrete but I think this is a really cool place to start.

Four2one3

For megarare: Nows the time for powercreep. I say don't be scared to make something big and powerful, because a raid is exactly when we should be doing that. If you are gonna make a crush megarare, make it big and better. Raids and especially megarares aren't the time for sidegrades. If we want to go in a new direction, I've seen some really cool stuff on the reddit. Twitter just loves to complain. For new armor: Screw torva, just kill it. Torva is expensive not because its difficult content, its expensive because there is a high buy in (for non mass) and the content fucking sucks. No one wants to do nex. Oathplate is comically overpowered for where it comes from. Nex is so terrible that torva is double the cost of oathplate and oathplate is more relevant. I think the melee armor meta is kinda gone and just nuking it with new absolute giga crush BiS is something im totally down for. Id also like to note on addressing CoX uniques, because CoX is essentially mid level content now due to modern gear upgrades blazing through some of the toughest parts of the raid. CMs are like 20 minutes now, slash attacks punch through Tekton ( a crush boss) like paper, and there's actually range str bonus armor and jewelry in the game now. You see mid game accounts running to Chambers earlier and earlier as the only thing stopping an account from going there is the knowledge gap. TLDR; Dont be scared to make something powerful! Raids are the time for big and new
