I’ve seen this issue before, it happened because your installed NVIDIA driver doesn’t not support this NVENC version. Most people fix it just by updating the driver.

This year is the 24th year, they started in Jan of 1999.

I believe it was v28(?) that switched the UI library to a new major version; this broke all existing plugins that had a UI of any sort; this was a major pain but was necessary since the old version of that UI library was no longer going to be supported by its authors.

The unfortunate side effect is that this new version broke a lot of setups, because lots of people don’t read the release notes and they just update. Then they come online to shocked Pikachu face

So it feels like there is a lot more wrong with OBS since there has been so much more complaining due to this.

Not to say that other releases since haven’t had issues, but everyone’s own perception might be skewed since we’re still coming off that “update broke EVERYTHING” wave.
