No, I don't think I will.

Foxboron

This resignation has nothing to do with the AUR. Please don't make up rumors about people you don't know.

This is AI slop and has sooo many factual errors and fake images it's bewildering.

Seeing AI generated video of myself based off on a profile picture is fucking wild.

Foxboron

Distro maintainership does not require a decade of education and industry experience. It's veryvery mundane and boring.

I believe I was on the other MG.

I semi panicked when I saw the plane overhead. 10/10.

Would get bombed again.

Foxboron

getting paid to make contributions and work on arch?

No.

We have spent funds for travel, like FOSDEM, and there has been funds spent to organize a weekend summit/conference for contributors.

and if not, how do they find the time outside there full-time jobs to do so?

Some people have jobs with 20% of their time they can spend doing things like contribute to FOSS.

Most people do it as their hobby and spend their free time contributing to this project.

Project funds, donations and expenses can be seen at the SPI website. https://www.spi-inc.org/treasurer/reports/202512/#index35h4

Foxboron

Don't use the fash distro, y'all.

Foxboron

clevis+tang is an option. Another option is to expose the password prompt under an ssh tunnel in the initramfs.

Several people have solved this specific issue before.

Foxboron

This is perfectly possible with FDE.

Foxboron

Sure, but using systemd-homed style encryption is not an either/or scenario. You can do FDE and homed-style encryption.

But the homed encryption only really makes sense on a multi-user system. A single-user system this becomes less useful.

You always want FDE, essentially.

Foxboron

How can anyone replace a binary in /usr if you have full disk encryption?

dracut is way better than the bespoke Debian initramfs generation scripts.

Foxboron

(E.g. automatically applying the microcode after kernel updates is a relatively recent addition to mkinitcpio.)

I don't understand what this is refering to. Are you thinking about the microcode hook?

Foxboron

Does it still build magnitudes slower than booster? I don't see any reason to use something Arch-specific than booster or dracut to be honest.

If you tell me how to reliably trace a complicated bash script then I'll spend a couple of hours figuring out the bottlenecks in mkinitcpio.

sbctl supports TPM sealed keys - https://github.com/Foxboron/sbctl/releases/tag/0.15

If you are unsure why this is cool, here is a valid SSH key to my github account.

Foxboron

Yeah. I'm probably disabling fallback image generation in next mkinitcpio release

Foxboron

Don't use the distro written by the fascist, y'all.

Foxboron

You left out how he is implying that "native Brits" means "white Brits".

Foxboron

Don't use the distro written by the fascist, y'all.

Foxboron

Please don't use a fascist linux distro, my dudes.

Foxboron

With "popular" do you mean he's an openly racist ethno-nationalist? I'd stay away from Omarchy for this reason alone.

Please don't use the fascist distro, my dudes.

Regex er fint ja :) Men som nevnt er det ikke lett, derfor jeg pusher tilbake når folk skal lage en kunstig liste med "Bro, kan du ikke regex lizm?"

Foxboron
