I hold the neck between my thumb and the palm of my hand right below the index finger. That way, the ukulele is held even without any fingers on the fretboard.
The pinky shortcut others mentionned is good in this case, but I like this way better because it works for every chord switch, regardless of finger positions and without having to use a strap if you don't want to.

I've been using a steinberg UR12 with fedora for the past year, and I don't remember setting anything up, I think it just worked.

FramboiseMaudite
I didn't eat any for like 15 years so I can't be sure, but it still smells appetizing to me so I think so yes.

I'm french and had this exact thing, also no idea what it was called.

I'd like exactly this. Not retconning anything but not dealing with it either, get a fresh start and do new things.

Conclusion, joue à blood money.

I don't have a singer on hand at the moment, but yeah that would definitely be fun, I like the idea !

I do for quite some time now, it's mostly just cuts and a bit of colour correction though, nothing fancy.

Looks like a metalhead's ukulele. Love it !

Making music is not the only thing that matters in my life. I like not having some US megacorp making choices for me about my computer or my data. (And yes I'm ont reddit and on youtube and I use gmail and I have an android phone, yes... one step at a time)
Linux is not perfect, every distro has lots of problems here and there, but so does windows, and I rather deal with the linux problems than the windows problems. I generally like my current OS more than windows. Weird shit happening is also the consequence of having the choice between dozens of different combinations of OS, desktop environment etc.
And also I like tinkering. When something doesn't work, or when something could be tuned more in the way I want it, I like being able to go and find some obscure config file somewhere that I can edit to fit my needs.
I won't say that linux systems are for everyone just yet, because even if it's way better than 20 years ago when I first tried it out, you still encounter weird shit like this sometimes and you have to troubleshoot. So I'd say it is still for people who aren't afraid of tinkering a bit, especially if you want to do specific stuff like music production, using windows VSTs etc.
But saying to people to "dump it in the trash" and use a "real OS" when they come here to discuss the problems and find out the solutions, well that's not very nice.

For me this is already unchecked and it's only a partial fix. This happens since I switched to kde fedora from windows last october.
The problem happens whenever the clipboard is not empty, so when I launch bitwig and copy/paste doesn't work, the fix is : Right click on the system tray clipboard icon -> delete history (or something like this, I have it in french). I set the clipboard icon to always show in the taskbar specifically for this so it only takes 2 clicks.
While writing this I figured there should be a way to make this automatic so I found the command to delete clipboard history and changed the kde bitwig shortcut to this :
qdbus org.kde.klipper /klipper org.kde.klipper.klipper.clearClipboardHistory ; bitwig-studio
And it seems to work fine, when I launch bitwig the clipboard is automatically emptied and I can copy/paste !
(Also I didn't know about ctrl-drag for copy paste, that's nice)

Perfectly understandable I like it too

To make it behave like Ableton you have to disable "overdub" in the arranger section of the "play" menu at the top.
This thread is the only thing I found while searching about this problem, and the other comment isn't what I wanted because I'm used to work in the arrangement view. The answer I was looking for was in the deleted comment that I was able to retrieve on the web archive, so I figured I'll put it back here for the next ones who will search for it.

It was so goofy and weird that it was funny and I loved it, I know it's an unpopular opinion but I can't be the only one !
FramboiseMaudite
I love it ! I hope you'll be able to make more, Meshuggah on hangdrum sounds great !
FramboiseMaudite
Oh yeah I love those two aswell ! It's a shame that the guy who did the bleed cover hasn't been active for a while, he's great.
I got nothing for you, but I hope you'll find someone because I want to hear this when it's finished.
