How often do you need to do that?

I’ve been retracted for the best part of 10 years I think - maybe more. 

Why are you worried?  It pretty much say “no cancer”. 

Touching and examining your balls does not cause cancer.

To some it will and to most it won’t. Just like in life. 

If it mattered too much then saunas would not be so successful.

The surgery itself is nothing to worry about and the recovery is straightforward.  Make sure you have poo softeners ready as you don’t want to be straining when you poo. 

Have you had your testosterone levels measured?  If not then you really should get that done before you have the operation. You need a baseline level in case it falls afterwards. 

Also have you thought about whether you are going to have a fake one put in. I have and it is really good for so many reasons. 

It looks like they did a really good job. I’m pleased that you are happy with it. 

It must have been a bit scary going in to have an operation on your dick at 16!  Brave.

Having it taken out is nowhere near as scary as you are thinking right now. 

My two recommendations are:

• get your testosterone levels checked as soon as possible and definitely before the operation. 

• think about whether you want a fake ball putting in. I did and I love it.

It’s definitely something to talk through with a medical professional. You need to get to the bottom of your anxieties I guess. Are you in any social groups at all? Do you have a good friendship group or do you keep yourself to yourself?
