How closed minded can they be? A fictional character on a fantasy setting made by a fan. Those are like 3 layers of "it's not real" they missed. Genderbent can be anything, why force it to be transrep?

Hate how people are unable to age up the fictional character they like for this kind of stuff. There is no imagination police to prohibit you from changeing the desing of a fictional character
