Thanks I usually bow first for dueling but some prefer a fight instead of the duel, either way someone has to die.
Sometimes the duel turns into a bloody fight or sometimes is a 3v1 but at least is fun
Also I've seen that in the Chalice there are some spots for Duels and Club fights where or what are this chalices.
Thanks for your response.

The company I work for is going to start giving backup as a service with VCC, they already are giving this service but want to use VCC.
I’m reading info from that site and that’s where i read that is recommended to have a dedicated VCC server but since we already have that other VB&R server running I was asking for any tip or experience

Thanks for the tips.

They have 7.1 but can't upgrade to a newer release because that box does not have support so they can't download the newer versions files and that box doesn't support 7.2+.
About the PTF, I won't bother in installing them cause of the same in case something unexpected and the same support reason.
I was thinking in doing some cleaning to make it a little smoother and "faster" although but since I can't apply PTFs to it I know I wont make any much difference.
I have some experience in IBM i administration and I know myself that I don't know very much about AS400 at least at your level but this is a chance to maybe learn a little more.
I will try to do some research on it and I'll see what can I do.
Thanks for your help.

Hi this is a system that does not have support anymore with IBM and since this is P7 system also is not longer supported at all by IBM.
So maybe the options/actions to apply in the maintenance are very limited but still I want learn some of it on ow to do it. This LPAR does not get IPLd very option and the current OS version that has is the last that the box can support.

I just installed firefox on the minimal centos, run the command to open it and the firefox window opened so I guess the X11 forwarding is working fine.

Hi, I'm trying to install it as it were for a Production server, I'm starting learn about Oracle DB so I'm trying to do it as it were for a real production environment.
Also I think on a real situation Oracle DB servers are installed using a minimal installation with no GUI since it will be better to optimize the VM resources, have a smaller VM size and mitigate the vulnerabilities that GUIs have, but like I said starting to learn.
Gabozer0
Will check on this and try it, but this should be done on the server right?
Gabozer0
Yes I've installed those packages in the oracle DB server and also modified the ssd config file with the parameters needed but still fails.
Gabozer0
I forgot about the RPM, since I'm using a a blog post I found to install it there us using the traditional way but he's also installing from Windows so X11 is more straightforward.
Gabozer0
I've already tried with ssh -Y or ssh -X but still fails.
I will give it a try with Xvfb.
We did it! Thanks a lot!
