Honestly I think soviet operations creating in house resistance would be the only play for Warsaw pact.

If you concentrated modern well equipped forces at the Suez, they could repel soviet advance. If they had to split forces to quell uprisings within the continent it could be a different story.

Idk I’m still more on the stalemate, Africa has very little experience with long supply lines, and soviets aren’t the best at that either. Sure they have an extensive territory to cover as is, but they didn’t really engage in extended supply operations the like that it would require.

Geo-Man42069

Tbf holy strike is a 10second CD so it’s helpful but you’re right it’s not a constant buff.

Geo-Man42069

They didn’t have them at my local culvers when I went to check :*(

Can confirm though the jalapeño curds slapped.

Geo-Man42069

Fair point if you wanted to use it that way frequently.

Geo-Man42069

Fore sure solid vibes on these, maybe better for faction based pvp sets or token turn ins split by faction. That way you could differentiate by faction/race dwarf hunter/NE hunter.

Geo-Man42069

lol they worked fine for the time I guess would be more fair.

Geo-Man42069

No doubt it would shake morale, but considering they were one of the highest disciplined armies of all time I doubt 1 rpg would immediately break them. Even if you decimated their forces with a single shot from an RPG, that would have been the same result if they retreated without order to do so.

RPG wouldn’t break them, AKs might though. It wouldn’t be unheard of for an entire front line to be lost to a volley, but having completely ineffective shields would be rough.

Geo-Man42069

The problem with the “gun axe”, is it was more effective as use by cavalry. It was always nice to have options with a weapon but it preformed worse than a dedicated axe or gun. Fun bit of history and it could work. The brass knuckles are just vibe as the stock would work better for bashing and you already have an axe head idk what reason getting your fist into the equation would help.

Geo-Man42069

Polish Lithuania commonwealth made great use of the “gun axe” but more of a cavalry weapon.

Geo-Man42069

True about accuracy, it would be precision strikes instead of carpet bombing. I guess it really comes down to how much ordinances stockpile they have and if they could make more within a reasonable timeframe.

Geo-Man42069

I mean without a landing zone, or reasonable resupply/launch point I’m doubting US could do much.

Geo-Man42069

“isekaid” as a verb chefs kiss

Geo-Man42069

Gender neutral tbh

Geo-Man42069

Just to be a contrarian I want players to have to be in the zone and Q at portal lol Jk jk it’s fine like it is or w/e blizz decides I’ll live.

Geo-Man42069

I love drums, paddles are mid, the rest gotta stay so…. Wings

I think that’s mostly a fair point. My one caveat being Africa has collectively around 625 planes capable of ground strike, and unknown number of ordinance. Almost 2 million tonnage of bombs were dropped just on Germany ww2 20,000 tonnage dropped on London alone. So they obviously could drop bombs from those 625 craft and obviously they would be more devastating per drop. But I genuinely wonder how deep the stockpile goes. My point being these folks had tenacity, and fortified positions/installations.

I think they would be devastated in the opening salvo, but they would likely weather it until ordinance was exhausted.

I think we forget how completely Germany was obliterated by the end and they still would have fought on to the last if they were ordered to. Now the other nations might not have that tenacity but it’s doubtful unless Africa has nuke capable icbms if they would be brought to surrender via air raids alone.

Same problem of surrender for Africa too though is their 1 gov, a central command or is it just fight to the last. Logistics would be rough the further Europe pushes even if their fleet was mostly intact.

Oil is also limited to caucus, Romania, few other locations for Europe would limit operations. Tbf horses were still in play for low tech supply.

Pets:
Dogs it depends on your situation, but man’s best friend stuck by us this far. Barking is a double edge sword alerts to danger but also gives away your position. Can be a hunters best friend, companionship for a lone wonderer is honestly second to none. Loyal to the bitter end.

Cats destroy rodent populations and buddy if you think there won’t be rats in the apocalypse lol can be self sufficient hunters for the most part. Companionship depending on temperament.

Hawk trainer would be sick, but not the most practical. Big aura points though.

Other pets eh are they worth the feed and attention?

As far as live stock:

S tier: chickens would be very nice, reliable protein via eggs. It’s roughly a 2:1 ratio feed to food, but that egg tastes and is a lot more versatile than the chicken feed lol. For me apocalypse homesteading chickens are a must.
You gotta know meat hens and egg hens are 2 different lines but you can eat an egg hen it just won’t have as much meat, and a meat hens will lay eggs but not worth the feed to egg ratio. Roosters would be loud but maybe worth keeping one around keeping the flock growing.

Goats A tier: will mow the lawn graze on weeds w/e, can be milked or slaughtered for meat. Leather from hide.

Sheep +A tier: eat a lot of grass type stuff grazing. Produces milk, meat, tallow and clothes from wool and hide.

Cows B tier: this is the king and queen of domestic animals. Milk, butter, cheese, meat, fat, tallow, hides. Only reason it doesn’t score higher is it takes a lot of feed, and animal husbandry requires a bull which is dangerous in an encampment.

Pigs: B- eats pretty much anything scrapwise not that there would be a lot to go around. Meat, hide, lard. Honestly easier to raise than cattle, gets market weight quickly depending on feed. Lard is versatile and fat in general is calorie dense for winters. If you’re going for post collapse spartan village vibe pig blood soup melas zōmós is a vibe.

Bees: B+ tier requires special equipment, could be dangerous to some members, but don’t require feed, honey is shelf stable and likely the only source of “sweet” other than berries and fruit locally available. Honey has medicinal properties as well. Personally I’d rank them higher but “B” tier is punny.

Honorable mention Alpaca: S tier wool, can be eaten. The milk isn’t suitable for humans though so meh.

My load out for the homestead would be dog, cat for rodent control, chickens (egg hens), sheep, bees. Best output for input, covers a lot of bases eggs daily protein and chickens eat ticks pest control. Sheep = meat, milk, tallow, wool, hides. Bees, honey for eating, medicine, source of “sweet” keeps spirits high with mead, pollinates fields just an all around W as long as no one is allergic.

Honestly the only downside to animals is effort it takes to keep and care for them coupled with space to farm feed and house them. Also possible health issues parasites, diseases, ect.
For me I think any long term survival plan requires a homestead and livestock. Sheep, and goats, and maybe cattle could fit nomadic living but you’d have to watch for “other herds” as well. Idk how you can say it doesn’t benefit the community if it isn’t done at scale. Sure it’s a lot in, but if you’d rather survive on a vegan lifestyle I suppose that would be easier logistically, still malnutrition from lack of protein and vitamins more easily acquired via animal products is a long term issue. Not to mention clothes wear out having a source of wool or leather is way simpler than weaving clothes. Depends how large your settlement is, how many acres you can devote to feed. And what your long term goals are but honestly if you plan on living a decade + animals either have to be in the equation or you’re a skilled hunter/gatherer/fisherman or don’t mind being a vegan farmer.

Africa would dominate for weeks, and early on until modern munitions and replacement parts imported from other nations run out. If they couldn’t cap the continental Europe by then (that’s a very fast time table even with modern tech) it would be difficult to impossible maintain that early success rate.

They do have some manufacturing especially in small arms and armored vehicles but most of their air and sea power is maintained with modern trade with other nations.

Their tech advantage in the early days would quickly be depleted until they can create compatible ordinance and part manufacturing to supply their advanced systems. It’s not impossible, but it would be a rough “mid game”.

Geo-Man42069

So the problem is Africa navy although small would low dif any fleet it came across. Until munitions run low. The other part is 39.5 million tonnage of European ships floating at the get go. Modern Africa is closer to 420 thousand tonnage. It’s doubtful any ship from 1939 would sink a modern sub in Africa, but the problem is lack of torpedos. Currently Africa purchases ordinance and does not make their own. It’s possible they could eventually get a local industry going for this purpose but from onset to getting a reliable self made supply they would run out before they sank even a critical portion of 1939 Europe’s ships. Modern Germany and Russia wouldn’t be able to send replacement parts or ordinance to keep the African subs combat effective for long.

These conflict scenarios happen ina vacuum. While you’re right modern ships and weapon low dif there is just too much for what is the current stockpile and force to sink before running out of effective means of arms.

Geo-Man42069

Exactly, this has been my point people don’t seem to factor in. I take it to mean, “whatever assets/materials existing in Africa or Europe at the snapshot of time” other nations/continents are out of the equation.

Obviously if Africa has access to purchase anything from other modern nations it’s low dif W ez. If it has to utilize its stockpile, and manufacture its own replacements it has a strong start and becomes a lot more even as the war continues because of lack of modern munitions and replacement parts made in other modern nations.

Geo-Man42069

Opportunity cost, you can have both, but it takes time. Honestly your land and air is enough for Ethiopia early game. Focusing early on navy if you want it in the early mid game is the play. Focuses for free dockyards and research to catch up or if you have fine base models and pump them out to convert them later when better tech comes online that’s fine too.

Industry optimization I think you start on partial mobe so building infrastructure in peak building slot states and dropping into civs early is great. Some ignore inf and that’s fine idk how the numbers actually crunch but you want a base industry first. Doing dockyards then (or vise versa) civ industry focuses first will help. Honestly Ethiopia isn’t entirely necessary I almost always give it up on pope path to get pope sooner anyway it’s nice but not essential. Saves on focus time if you give it up tbh.

I ignore tanks until I get mediums online focus on inf basics, and air you can get away with not having a huge mil industry until you get dockyards pumping. Curt who games is a beast at navy vids check them out.

Geo-Man42069
  1. Agree honestly worst part is setting up bars every time it would be cool if they had key inf preset toggle-able.
  2. Yeah I get macros, but if it was even easier I wouldn’t complain, explaining to new players/friends is a chore lol.
  3. meh it would be okay not as necessary as previous too but I’m not against it.
  4. Eeeh idk this might be okay but personally I think the jump from servers to a couple mega servers is already big. Personally I just want a RP-pvp ruleset so I can roll opposite faction and still be on a pvp server.
  5. Warlocks have always been beasts at 1v1 their toolkit and everyone else’s toolkit at 30 will be different than at

    max level.

6

  1. Balance and viability is great, but I’d prefer a little variation to keep class and spec variety feel and play with their own identities instead of homogenize into bland class soup. Obviously more balanced performance is great, but class and spec identity is better.

7

  1. Sure 1-20 cap free to play for x days is fine. I think having a time and level limit is key.

8

  1. Yeah highelf/bloodelf neutral race would have fit better we’ll probably get that and goblins and worgen down the road. Blue elves are w/e idc.

9

  1. Panda is fine by me, wouldn’t be first in mind but at some point it would be fine.

9

  1. I agree I like arena, they said they wouldn’t but they seem like blizz is developing more pvp options so maybe.

10

  1. If I want a in game radio I’d play fallout NV again.

Edit numbers are auto editing and being garbo

Geo-Man42069

Ah gotcha sorry came at you a bit hot there lol ty

Geo-Man42069

Yeah this probably although blizz nerfed the F out of conc. There’s lower SP scaling in forever now, and only hits 4 targets (with the SP boost) idk if it still hits all targets for base spell amount or just doesn’t hit them but either way it is a substantial nerf. Idk if they are just afraid of solo/duo gold farming later on at 60 but I’m a little salty lol.

Having the taunt be on same CD as one of your main attacks (judgment) felt kinda rough at 20, but I think there is a way to spec in prot/ret that reduces CDs and gives you and instant judgment reset in your back pocket that will help.

Other than that yeah it’s a fine tank spec, you could probably maintank but it won’t be the “min-max” favorite. Still damage mitigation, big shields, self healz (LoH) I think there is enough in the toolkit to still make it through the content. Warrior and maybe Druid for some fights will likely be preferred, but I think with some skill, the correct talent build, you can MT with a pally just fine.

Still in most raids likely going to be aoe and OT.
