Geostomp

They know that they need humans to act as spies and agents for their plans, so they made it a point to treat humans as fellow members of the Legion rather than just disposable cannon fodder or slaves like the other Chaos legions do. And most of the loyal chapters, if we're being honest.

Geostomp

Look at the speed runner bragging here..

But seriously, yeah. This game is a behemoth of content.

Geostomp

CGI was very expensive back in the day, so it was saved for the main character and second-in-command in the first three series to make them look more impressive. This unfortunately backfired because the primitive models aged horribly, making the 2D animated sequences look more better later.

Geostomp

I can't look at her and imagine that she's in anything less than perpetual agony.

Geostomp

He's like Kite Man, but more fun than sad.

Geostomp

The whole reason they love Trump so much is because they think his immunity from consequences extends to them. Wearing his apparel makes them feel invincible, so they get mad when faced with any restrictions whatsoever. Rather than acknowledge their mistakes, they whine about it and then go online to brag about somehow "owning the libs" in the process to get praise from their safe space of fellow assholes.

Geostomp

Seeing the bill for thousands of spikes and hundreds of giant sawblades pissed him off enough to curse Talos forever. He's just lucky that the cost of the laser pipe organ got snuck in as a line item or he'd be reduced to same indignity as Solgra and Gaibon.

Geostomp

Belmonts have dangerous lives and have fallen in and out of fortune. They don't tend to lead easy or safe (or long) lives so settling down is a challenge.

They fight supernatural evil all the time, even when Big D is taking his dirt nap. Including the various cults that are always popping up to resurrect Dracula early by committing enough atrocities. Many of which are particularly vindictive and love to take revenge on them and their loved ones when they let their guard down.

With the forces of darkness bent on ending your bloodline, you don't get a lot of opportunity to raise a big family. Except for whoever the Morris clan and all those villagers from Order of Ecclesia descended from, I guess.

Geostomp

They did, but after transforming into a powerful vampire, Dracula managed to pull something that made him surpass all other forces of evil to basically become Satan.

We're not sure what he did, but he had powerful red stone artifact that let him absorb the powers and souls of vampires, so we can assume he started by wiping out all the ones he could make or find to enhance himself even further as a start. He wasn't on his "take revenge on all mankind" kick then, so he probably had a level of restraint before his second wife was killed and he went hog wild on every drop of evil power he could get his hands on.

Geostomp

What I don't get is why everyone seems to believe in her unconditionally? Up to this point, she really hasn't done much for them. The only "victories" they had came from other forces with her being only part of them, at best.

If anything, given that they've lost nearly all their friends, all of their resources, and have proven that hardly anyone believes in their cause, the surviving Resistance members should have their morale at absolute rock bottom. Rey trying to play savior to them should piss them off because it would come off as some idiot teenager who barely knows anything acting high and mighty and making light of their situation. She should have to work her ass off to earn their trust now that they have practically nothing else left and barely qualify as an organization anymore.

But we can't have that because Rey is the HERO because plot almighty demands it, so she's beloved and relied on unquestioningly because everyone is in awe of her.

Geostomp

Somehow, I don't think this god-eating thing is going to work nearly as smoothly as she thinks it will. Having multiple immortals who all hate you screaming in your head cannot be good for whatever she still has that passes for mental health.

Geostomp

He decided to ease up a bit on Clark for the moment, so he put more focus on her instead.

Geostomp

So yeah, she's taking the lesson Luke learned for his, but without any of the understanding or experience that made it meaningful. Also the writers having the characters patting themselves on the back for being so correct and virtuous for extremely shallow understanding of the Jedi's problems.

Geostomp

"Finally, I have risen with none of those pesky Belmonts and I have corrupted the only organization with any real shot at impeding me."

two hours later

"Hey, hot tattooed lady, you wanna get with Big D-"incinerated by own power

Geostomp

That is the problem with her. Disney is so bent on her taking parts of Luke's story that they don't bother to give he a story that fits her character. So she doesn't get to develop into something of her own as a character. She's just "Luke's replacement".

It's the same with Ashoka thanks to Filoni being bent on putting her at the center of his little corner of the galaxy.

It's disservice to all the characters involved: Luke gets all but erased, Rey is never allowed to be her own person because she's just Strong Female Character, and the good parts of Ashoka are sheared off so she can be Filoni's pet character.

Geostomp

Generations of calling anything they don't like "socialism" has irrevocably broken the minds of millions.

Geostomp

Of course. They love lazy thinking, feel entitled to "succeed" at something with no effort so they can spite those who've actually tried to develop skills, and take pleasure in getting their "messages" out quickly and "professionally". AI slop gives them all these things just by typing up a prompt in the magical glowing boxes they already have.

Geostomp

That and the kid didn't even do it. The grandpa got himself killed and zombified because he was stupid and greedy enough to blindly trust a devil promising him power. So yeah, Katana Man was always a selfish brat hiding behind delusions to make his feelings and actions seem justified and noble to himself.

Geostomp

Miles, you're really coming off as a rookie here.

Geostomp

The flaws of the sequels were far more fundamental than the prequels.

The prequels, for all their faults, established a new part of the setting, fleshed out lore we didn't have, added many now-beloved characters, and, most importantly, had an actual story to tell. They're very flawed, but they have a core narrative and some artistic integrity behind them. Not a lot, certainly not enough to not be milked for every penny, but some.

The sequels don't really do any of that. They don't bring in anything new, they copy the old and destroy what came before. We get all the old, hard won victories and character development undone just so they can repeat it in a shallower form with Rey and Kylo, the only characters the movies seem to care enough to focus on. Most of all, they don't have a core narrative. The movies all undo what the previous one does, which means that they can't really establish anything lasting. Not even character personalities because they change so drastically despite the tiny time period between the movies. No amount of external media can fix them because they're built on a broken foundation.

Geostomp

As bad as Andromeda's writing was, it established something new in the setting and offered some potential for going forward. Veilguard closed off the existing potential and replaced it with basically nothing of substance. The only people who could be invested were the minority who actually cared about be shallow-as-a-puddle companions. And whoever cared about the Executors, I guess.

Geostomp

Veilguard took the fight out of us because we know it was such a dead end for the setting. We mourned the death of the setting because there wasn't a way forward short of retconning it away or effectively making a brand new one.

Mass Effect at least had that trailer to give us hope, so some have gotten a lot more motivated. Even if it's certain to not get results.

Geostomp

Not really, but they're going to pretend there was because that's really all they can do if they're tied to the sequels.

Geostomp

Even seven years later, they're still trying to write the sequel trilogy. Not retcon, but just write it at all.

Geostomp

The Youngling Slayer 9000, please. Such a storied artifact deserves to be addressed by its proper name.
