I understand. If I lived in your country I might share your concern I'm sure. I live in the UK and have a background as a 'proper' socialist. Our experience of free health care and tax is different. We used to have free higher education but no longer. I believe that those who don't want to work are not motivated by the costs of basic human rights. The issues are, as the CEO of a charity fighting poverty, much more complex and deep seated. I doubt she will have the depth of impact that you think she might. You come across as someone I'd enjoy having a pint with.

As an American democrat, I promise you, nothing she stands for is anything approaching proper socialism. Not even close. You will be absolutely fine. Take care.
