When I was a kid my mom bought me DVDs of this show from Walmart and that moment hit deep. It was one of my first experiences with an allegory and as blatant as it was, it felt like absolute cinema.

“I don’t necessarily mean that every single saiyan was metaphysically incapable of goodness or born a bastard.”
Then they weren’t ontologically evil
GodNonon
I still feel you can have Vought be this powerful and dangerous mega-corporation without them being the literal root of all evil and having all the superheroes connected to them while also only being active in America. Like I said I feel it's a very limiting story decision. It makes it so there's nothing going on outside of this little bubble in the US. If you disagree that's perfectly fine.
GodNonon
There’s no reason why Compound V has to practically only exist in America or why other countries can’t develop their own serums. I feel like this choice makes the world feel much smaller and limits the potential for storytelling, worldbuilding and social commentary

Doctor Manhattan being able to instantly erase the virus but choosing to just be performative instead is lowkey in character

They should have a scratch and sniff on the page so we can know how good the chili smelled before Taylor ruined it

When the comic shows a talking boar suddenly facing the reader and explaining to us that aura theory isn’t real
GodNonon
The world of The Boys would’ve felt so much bigger and more interesting if other countries had their own equivalents of Vought.
(Plus it’d open up the door to spin-offs, which seems to be what they care about most these days)
GodNonon
Taylor is an unreliable narrator™ so for all we know she could’ve killed hundreds of babies and never told us about it
GodNonon
The only bright side is that there is absolutely no way the comic is going to even slightly allude to aura theory. People who only know Worm from the comic will have no idea what that even is
GodNonon
I wish we could’ve seen more of the social aftermath of Homelander dying and being exposed like this. How are his supporters coping with it? What is the international response to an almost successful takeover of America being televised live? What memes are people making about this?
GodNonon
I (and most of the world) almost forgot Jeb exists

This is a “I used to pray for times like this” moment. I’m so glad that this amazing series is finally going to get some more mainstream recognition! I hope you’re making a huge bag off of this, Wildbow. You absolutely deserve it. Can’t wait to read this!

You can't just make up nonsense like "that void was actually the moon" to handwave a feat you don't want to accept. Why would the moon suddenly be depicted as a black void in the next panel? That makes no sense.
Anyways there is no angle in which this black hole can be the moon. If the earth is in front of the black hole (which it is), then that black hole cannot be the moon because smaller objects don't look as big as bigger objects when further from the camera.
Even if the black hole was in front the earth, then again the shot is still impossible. If the moon were in front of the earth in this shot, then it would also be illuminated like the earth is. It wouldn't be a circle of pure darkness. Again that's not how lighting and shadows work.
Murata is one of the best artists in the industry. He knows how basic perspective and lighting works. You evidently do not, or just want to pretend not to in order to stonewall your argument. Either way I'm done for good now.
GodNonon
There's nothing I'm "assuming." The earth is objectively in the foreground in this particular shot. It is closer to the camera as you can see with your eyes. That's just how perspective works. Also if the moon was in front of the earth, it wouldn't be completely covered in darkness while the earth is partially illuminated. Again that's not how lighting and shadows work.
There is no angle in which that black hole could be the moon like you are suggesting.
GodNonon
The panel doesn't have the moon closer is the problem. The moon is further from the camera than the earth is, yet it looks about the same size. Again, do you seriously not understand the fact that a smaller object cannot look the as big as a bigger object if the smaller object is further from the camera? If you're just being stubborn and refusing to concede in order to ragebait me that's one thing. But I am concerned that you actually do not know this.
GodNonon
This is fiction. You're insisting that Goku has a shockwave that somehow gets stronger away from from the epicenter and also insisting that Saitama's shockwave must obey the laws of physics no matter what. Because again, you're biased and apply logic differently between these two.
Anyways forget the Saitama vs DB debate. I don't care about that anymore. I care that you seem to genuinely not understand how basic angles work. The ant can look bigger than a building because the ant is closer to the camera. Tell me how you can make the small object look bigger than the large object when it's further from the camera.
That black hole in the sky is further from the camera than the earth, yet it looks about the same size. If that were the moon, this angle would be impossible because the moon is smaller than the earth. Please just tell me you understand this concept. Like I said I couldn't care less about the fight anymore.
Also you can look up "angular diameter" if you want a more in depth explanation for how again this sort of shot with the earth and the moon is objectively impossible.
