I think it has a place in group or duo play, if the game is actually balanced around that. Right now solo is significantly better even with MF groups but ideally a group or duo/trio can use MF gear to become on par with everyone just playing solo.

Abyss was top tier like 2 or 3 leagues ago, and beast farming has always been relevant because crafters need them. No one needs anything from expedition and it's way down the list of reworked leagues.

Expedition will get reworked eventually but it's going to stay bad for a while.

Do you honestly think no one ever mirrored items before synthesis league? It's insane to me that you all forgot any other items exist. Influenced items still exist btw, 12 link weapons will still be mirror-worthy.

Ziz's "Undisputed best axe" could never happen with synth implicits because you need the base to even begin crafting.

Those still exist in standard. Farm up mirrors in league then mirror them in standard. You can never complain about a lack of insane legacy items in standard to farm for.

Mirage fixed the endgame issues last league but now it's gone and so is Breach (somewhat). I think people will freak out pretty early into the league that there's nothing to farm.

Also the fubgooners of the world will freak out about not having anything to mirror with synth items gone. A lot of "meta" endgame builds will probably be 12 link weapons just because they can feel good mirroring them.

It's staying and more important than ever. No one will want to waste chromes suboptimally spamming for the right colors when they're so rare now.

PoE is known for its endgame, that’s a major reason why people play it over any other arpg. That endgame is a huge part of the game itself. Many other games have endgame as an afterthought, but that’s why people play those games instead. It makes perfect sense why GGG is doing it this way.
