Looking to buy passive speakers for my Mackie 808s mixer, got it for free and very new to matching speakers to mixers, looking for any advice on what specs/power handling to look for when purchasing. Mixer has a power output of 600 watts/channel and minimum speaker load of 2 ohms/channel.

I have a Mackie 808s mixer that I got for free from a friend, I'm looking to buy speakers and use this for small neighborhood/bar shows with a 4 piece band, any recommendations for speakers, or just guidelines to buying in terms of power handling, etc? The Mackie has a power output of 600 watts/channel and minimum speaker load of 2 ohms/channel, I'm looking to spend less than $1k, just finding the power compatibility stuff confusing..

Thanks so much!

Unfortunately my budget is only gonna be a couple hundred bucks since this will likely be a one off show, but after a bit more research my current plan is use a couple small LyxPro monitors (https://www.amazon.com/LyxPro-SPA-5-5-Speaker-Amplifier-Powerful/dp/B01IFIEHPM/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=lyxpro+small+pa&qid=1623689934&sr=8-5) and chaining them together, do you think that would work with the Knox?

I'm gonna be playing a small outdoor house show for the 4th of july and I'm looking to add a monitor or two to my Knox dual speakers/mixer (https://www.amazon.com/Knox-Dual-Speaker-Mixer-Kit/dp/B07N7D9XWD), would I just need a couple of RCA to XLR cables to accomplish that? Any advice or gear recommendations welcome!

I agree with you, right now I'm just kind of doing it for myself so I hadn't really thought that far ahead

I'm trying to figure out if this style of photography has a specific name: https://imgur.com/ntUF8E5 I am trying to start up an instagram account with pictures like this that flow together and look nice. Not sure what to search for to supplement the pictures that I've already taken or will continue to take.

r/colesolo my friend made it to make fun of his brother's screen name

Looks like it's only on Android, but there may be similar apps for iOS

You could try using the app Parallel Space, it basically let's you mirror and emulate apps and it should work with Instagram!

Great post, keep up the good work!

Wow yeah that happened right down the road from me, IIRC they found the body because the power to the house was shut off so he started to smell in the freezer

Where did this happen? This might have happened down the street from me...
