But I thought they never actually went on a date, so how can it fizzle out?
Good-Conclusion-9508
If it’s only 6 months then why not just go to Amsterdam then? I get the feeling of really wanting to go away but 6 months isn’t very long.
Good-Conclusion-9508
They should have built slow and fast walking lanes
Good-Conclusion-9508
Surely this has all been considered by this point? It’s been talked about for years
Good-Conclusion-9508
It’s very unlikely to snow. But a good insulating coat is needed. The damp weather can make it feel colder than it is. The temperature can really change week by week so layers is always a good idea, especially as the London Underground feels about 10 degrees hotter than outside.

As a British person, I’ve never had a bacon and scallop roll though 😂

Yes they don’t exist too much in areas as central as Russell Square but they are in nearly town. Zone 2 places will have them. I would say they’re one of the last things left that hasn’t been gentrified or modernised. They look pretty much the same as they did 15 years ago. If you’re near Russell Square then a few nearby would be Bay Leaf Cafe, Little Portland Cafe, Valencia Cafe. Can still usually get a filling meal for under £10 in these cafes

I’m in a very similar position and went with 5 year fixed. I might be a pessimist but I don’t trust rates to drop in 2 years time, especially when we will be closer to a general election with a potentially very different government who could win. The monthly payment feels quite a lot now but in 5 years time it will be the same and everything else would have risen.

Make sense! We declared gift from step grandparents which sounds quite distant but haven’t had any issues (so far). But it is clear they are married to the biological grandparents so legally I suppose they would be considered close relatives.

I think your house is beautiful and for South East England to get a whole house for that price is great. I wonder if because it’s 1.6 miles from Tunbridge Wells station, it may not be coming up in peoples searches? I can see High Brooms station is really close by and has a direct train to London but I’ve never heard of it so if I was thinking of moving to the area I wouldn’t actively seek it like I’m sure people would for Tunbridge Wells.

Ah I see! Okay that make sense thank you
Good-Conclusion-9508
But what difference is the aunty to parent in terms of affordability?
Good-Conclusion-9508
Ah I see! I think aunty should count as close relative but can see online that it doesn’t
Good-Conclusion-9508
What’s the issue if the gift came from the aunty anyway? Wouldn’t they just do the AML check and find it’s okay?
Good-Conclusion-9508
It feels again like another situation where millenials/Gen Z don’t have it as good as the generation before. You can definitely still get more space for your monthly bill than renting, but it’s not a magic wand that makes the cost of living go down anymore.
Good-Conclusion-9508
So true. They need to realise a big proportion of people don’t go to the office on Fridays and that will impact how much we talk about it

Good-Conclusion-9508
Are the challenges too difficult maybe? Seems weird that none of them have been very good
Good-Conclusion-9508
I’m confused. Isn’t everyone in this video speaking English? The interviewer is so disrespectful about the man who has lived here 33 years. Of course he would still have an accent. British immigrants to Spain don’t have a Spanish accent after 33 years do they.
Good-Conclusion-9508
Would you recommend this is £1k each or £1k between 2?
Good-Conclusion-9508
There is the possibility of overpaying which can give you some cushioning if you need to take a break from paying the mortgage too.
Good-Conclusion-9508
We are in a similar situation. I think there’s a lot of rich people on Reddit who don’t know what the average wage is and how much rent costs. Even if you were on minimum wage (around £27k each) you would still be able to afford £1700 so I think it’s okay. Renting a house would cost more.
Good-Conclusion-9508
You are lucky. Most of us have been paying nearly 50% of our wage on rent anyway, so may as well have a mortgage.

Where is The Isle of Wight?

I feel like this always happens in TV shows based on a couple, the side couple become more interesting
