It's very rare these days to get stamps if you have an EU residence permit. Even 10 years ago, I had to ask for a stamp for example in Germany. Having said that there may be exceptions.

Since September

I'm not with Veeam any longer, my friend

Same

Sixt will do that to you. I'm not using them for this specific reason. Never had this issue with Enterprise and lately with Avis either. I don't even make a car video any longer when I'm picking up the car from them. This is how it should be, they can have my money and Sixt lost me as a customer forever.

Instead of Valetta, stay in Sliema as a base. This gives you a ton of better restaurants, many nice stone beaches, 5 min ferry to Valetta and 5-10 min Bolt (or a very nice walk) to St. Julian's and Paceville with lots of things to do. I would not recommend staying in Valetta, it's too small to justify. Sliema is a much better base.

Same issue with S25 Ultra, seems like the latest security update is the culprit. In addition to no fast charging, even regular charging is glitching occasionally (stops and restarts immediately).

For the reference, with the same setup I get:

Galaxy Tab S11: Wi-Fi 6 1300 Mbps

Galaxy S25 Ultra: Wi-Fi 7 a wee bit over 1000 Mbps

Not in this particular case. It's perfectly normal to fly into Vienna when going to Bratislava as it's just 40 min drive while VIE enjoys 10x more flights.

Always do the interview ASAP because you want to leave time for admin processing, should it be required.

Your password stays with you until you come to the U.S. Consulate for the interview. After that there are three outcomes:

1/ Your visa is rejected and you just walk away with the passport :)

2/ Your visa is approved. Then it only makes sense to keep the passport with them because they will glue your visa in like the next day and it will be ready for pickup instantly. I've never heard this taking more than a couple of business days for anyone.

3/ Your application is not completely rejected but requires additional admin processing. The length is extremely random and I've heard this taking anywhere from 1 day to over a year for different people. Therefore in this case it's best to ask your visa interview officer that you want to keep your passport with you for the duration of their processing (you will simply need to bring it to the Consulate if your visa is approved).

Interesting. In my almost 20 years flying, corporate booking systems like Navan and Concur typically pushed me to buy tickets through United when flying to/from the U.S. on Swiss/Lufthansa operated flights because tickets usually were a wee bit cheaper through United. It was not ideal because of added minor struggles like inability to pick seats early etc. I guess it's the opposite with Delta... and looks like scam tbh.

Have been using FreezyBoy for some years now, it's a game changer https://freezyboy.com

I recommend the magnetic mount pad from UniFi. Originally it was designed for some other, smaller gateway but it works perfect with UCG-F and is dirty cheap too.

[EDIT] Specifically back in the days I bought this magnetic mount for UCG-Ultra/Max (17cm): https://store.ui.com/us/en/category/accessories-installations/collections/pro-store-floating-mount/products/uacc-fm-17cm?variant=uacc-fm-17cm

I see that now they also offer the dedicated 23cm option specifically for UCG-Fiber that is much more expensive, which is silly https://store.ui.com/us/en/category/accessories-installations/collections/pro-store-floating-mount/products/uacc-fm-23cm?variant=uacc-fm-23cm

As mentioned, you can safely go with the former and save some money as it is on a good discount these days. It holds UCG-F solid even if it is smaller, and its reduced size actually helped in my case as I have my UCG-F mounted in a tight spot.

In the U.S. most people will think CH is for China :)

This statement is generally incorrect. Since impact wrenches work by converting rotational kinetic energy into torque, the latter is proportional to the speed of rotation. And most impact wrenches allow for controlling the speed of rotation by the trigger pressure and/or max rotation speed selector (usually both).

Each speed mode is often rated to the very specific torque level that is documented, for example this is the case with Metabo impact wrench.

It's not really his advice. For example I updated manually same day CVE patch came out. But I don't want feature updates installed automatically.

I wish Ubiquiti had a setting to only auto install security patches.

Also releases any leaked memory back into circulation. In theory, lack of available RAM may cause some update preparation process to fail. Especially important for low-RAM devices like UCG.

Gostev

Signs in ZRH are very explicit about that, they say "CH permit". But for some reason staff wasn't instructed and if you ask them, they'll insist gates are for Swiss/EU passports only and force you into manual processing cabins. So don't ask and just go, egates work both for departures and for arrivals.

These have Malta written all over them.

Thanks to you I learned about Hoval. Google AI summary comparing the two says both are great high end brands. Interestingly it also highlights the post-sales strength of CTA :)

Could also be dependent on the model as they might be selling heatpumps of a few different manufacturers to offer different price ranges. Do you have Aeroheat heatpump?

Gostev

That sounds implausible as new unit comes with 10-12 years of warranty. So 4 years and then a few years later everything should still have been covered by warranty. My case above was right at the verge of warranty expiration and I didn't have to pay anything.

cta.ch has been great for me in terms of service, check with them. It's very important to have a reliable company on standby all the time as after about 10 years, you will need to start fixing things here and there. There's nothing in heatpumps that can break completely, they are pretty simple devices in general, basically like fridges (just the other way around). We're talking compressor, fan and coolant, which is all replaceable. I had the motor start knocking in the compressor after 10 years and they replaced the compressor and refilled the system, I should be good for another 10 years now!

Your backup is image-level (not file-level) therefore looking at the size of all files is meaningless.
