Yeah and all the other types were using tailwind to outspeed, champion battle has a salamence which just spams rock slide with a helping hand boost from hitmontop.

Think the only ones who didn't spam rock slide was the fairy and ghost type E4 members.

Just makes me think this game would be impossible to nuzlocke because there is absolutely no way you'd get through the E4 without being insanely lucky.

This is odd actually, because I just went to look for examples thinking they were over the other shoulder. But it turns out most have it on the right shoulder (only very slightly though in most cases) even though in my head I thought they were the other way around. Can't really unsee it now lol, for some reason in my head it just feels more natural to have it over the left shoulder and I could have sworn that a lot of these games had it that way round.

Been playing elden ring where the character is directly in the centre so maybe that's thrown me off, just felt like the camera in the state of play showcase was off for some reason and I thought it was because it was the wrong way round, but clearly I'm wrong. weird lol.

At least it's telegraphed and gives you time to prepare, it ain't got nothing on melania's flurry. There's only one way to avoid damage on that attack and you have to have distance already between her when she winds it up. If she does it when your right next to her you're screwed.

Where are these rooms then? because I had explored the whole of lingrave thoroughly and I didn't find any 'rooms with rare items', except the two rooms below that swamp area, but even then one of the chests in that just transports you to a dungeon where you find the actual good stuff. The only places I found worthwhile gear was in the side dungeons & legacy dungeons and that was my original point.

Haven't found a single weapon or armor set in the open field, that's why I stopped bothering with them. It's all just those skulls that smash open for runes & plants for crafting.

All the high end crafting materials, weapons and armor I found were in actual properly design levels (like the classic fromsoft style of level) haven't found many outside them tbh.

The rewards for actually exploring those places are just not worth it for me, I'd rather not spend my time with them so I basically just make a b-line for the nearest dungeon where I know that there's definitely something worthwhile after beating the miniboss.

I will say I do like the field bosses though. those are awesome.

Yeah I agree, fromsoft have always been best at designing intricate levels more than anything else, it's one of the reasons their games are so special. Those levels are definately present in elden ring, you just have to slog it across a field for 5 minutes to get to them.

I think so, but it's much harder than those games, I suggest really taking your time to explore, level up and find new gear before going where the game tells you to go first.

This game really wants you to put in the work to make sure your ready to progress through the main story.

I like messages but I really wish they were a different colour, I keep thinking they are items
