Yeah, it just shows up in your projects, for whatever weird reason
Greedy_for_gophers
I got Good last time too, so this was definitely a pleasant surprise
Greedy_for_gophers
It's pretty new. It'll just pop up with your Projects
Greedy_for_gophers
two years in April, almost at $50k

I have a dedicated DA notebook that I use for the heavier projects. It can be annoying when project instructions get updated and my notes end up scattered through the notebook rather than all together, but it's still worth it to me to have physical notes to flip through.

I've definitely felt that way about several projects (Draco, Poe, etc.). Avoided them at first, gave them a shot when things were slow, and realized I love them haha

I aim for about 30 hours a week, so like 4 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'll sleep in, do a couple hours after lunch, and then a couple more hours after dinner. I like to take short breaks every 30-60 minutes, depending on task length. The flexibility of this job has been amazinggg for working around my chronic migraines :)

The iPad's fine for quicker tasks, but I personally prefer a larger screen when I'm doing longer explanations or research-based projects. That said, I love having the iPad and keyboard for when I travel. Way more convenient. You can also download the Chrome app so you can be logged into your DA account if needed for certain projects.

I've been doing it full-time for a little over a year, and part-time a couple of months before that.

Have fun! Italy is GORGEOUS and I fully intend to go back

Just the other day — 3.75 hours on a 10 hour timer
Greedy_for_gophers
I'm still on the Slack and haven't seen it in a while either.
Greedy_for_gophers
I've had several on my dash each day (and enough tasks that I could work my usual hours), they just aren't the projects I enjoy, so it's been tough getting/staying motivated

I think the prompt varies by task, but mine was related to Japan's aging population.

I just paid annual tax, and it wasn't an issue. My understanding is that paying quarterly is an alternative to annual, if you want to break up that tax payment and can estimate how much you'll make per quarter. I haven't personally done quarterly, though. Hopefully that makes sense -- I know next to nothing about taxes haha.

I like Draco a lot, but I can do the goddess sbs for hoursssss
Greedy_for_gophers
Technically just over a year, but I wasn't super active until April
Greedy_for_gophers
I usually put on YouTube streams for a bit of background noise, have a few fidget toys within reach, sip a Mountain Dew (probs not super healthy, but the caffeine helps me focus), and work in 30- to 60-minute bursts. If I get really into a task, I can go a bit longer, but otherwise I take a break. I also set a money goal.
Greedy_for_gophers
same
Greedy_for_gophers
2 quals, 23 non-coding projects
Greedy_for_gophers
saaame. easily my favorite project.
Greedy_for_gophers
about 30 hours a week, non-coding
Greedy_for_gophers
this is my travel setup, too
Greedy_for_gophers
I work for 30-60 minutes at a time, usually with YouTube on in the background. Then I'll take a little break to walk around or play a mobile game before I do another 30-60 minutes.
My sleep schedule is already wack, so fortunately it doesn't really bother me to stay up until 3 am working when something I like pops up haha
