Barbaric is the right term for it! The last one was especially bad since it had to take place in an operating room. (My anatomy is apparently longer than most, and she wanted better lighting and equipment.) When I got up off of the table after she was done, I realized there was a good-sized puddle of blood on the floor that wasn’t there before… Pretty sure that used to be mine. But yea… one regular strength Tylenol will totally fix it.

I’ve done it before, and I’ll do it again.

Fun fact: it’s actually a 911 call. I usually describe their actions in my most autistic affect. The more you remove your own emotions from it, the more seriously they tend to take you.

It’s not really painful, but sometimes it can be uncomfortable. Honestly it’s just a really awkward experience. This being said, it’s still worth doing.

So jealous of your pain management options!!! I’m on IUD #3, and have never been offered anything for pain. Last time I even asked, and she said “You could take a Tylenol, I guess.”

Yeah, you’re definitely not alone in this. I let people just walk in and out of my life all the time. It doesn’t seem relevant to them that it might hurt me each time they leave. At least they sometimes come back. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m so sorry! One of my cats died in December. It was genuinely awful.

I use the mobility scooters in Costco (their flooring is particularly murder on my joints), and I’ve lost count of the amount of people who stare at me. The bigger problem are the people who feel empowered to come up to me and say things. 🙄

I’m an American who was raised by my grandmother who was an immigrant from Norway. In the little area of the Midwest that I’m from it’s pretty common to have Scandinavian ancestry.

When I think of Norway it just reminds me of my grandma and my aunts and my second cousins who still live there.
