"How dare the prisoner population of an apartheid state not be more diverse! Why aren't the jailers represented in the demographics of the people they're oppressing?!" /s
Grenadier_Hanz
And I've lost count of the number of times Israel has used aid to murder and maim Palestinians in this war. Israel finds itself in this situation because it is an apartheid regime and a rogue state committing genocide. It is not "operating above what international law requires". Do you know why? Because it's committing GENOCIDE.
Grenadier_Hanz
Do you have a source for this? I'd love to read up on it more
Grenadier_Hanz
So if you aren't Syrian how about you keep your opinions to yourself? We actually take a lot of pride in our history and culture, and so much was already lost because of this war. What we have left should absolutely be preserved and protected.
Grenadier_Hanz
Could you share those articles? I've been curious about what could replace the westphalian system.

Yup, they split the Arabs into 5 different groups to make it seem like there isn't a majority. If this is an ethnic map, why isn't Israel's population split into Ashkenazi, mizrahi, Sephardic, etc? Or even better, by national origin of its inhabitants since they're almost all settlers anyway? Why is Jordan even included? Why's the Golan included? Why are Christian Arabs split from Muslim Arabs? Arab isn't a religion. This map is just plain propaganda

Wouldn't this weaken or damage the steel of the sword?

What's the fifth column podcast?

Where's the Costco pizza?

What language are they speaking? It kinda sounds like Farsi to me.
Grenadier_Hanz
There's a bunch of people in these comments talking about Arabs hating other Arabs as a main reason. As an Arab I think I can comfortably say that's a load of malarkey. Arab states and governments have grudges and long-standing issues with each other. The populations of those states rarely do. Your average Egyptian doesn't have much animosity towards your average Jordanian or Yemeni. Disagreements and violence are based on national or international politics, i.e. disagreements over resources, geopolitics, or ideologies.

Thomas Paine?

Does this work on concrete too? I spilled oil in my garage

Maybe a moustache? You gotta flaunt the chin and jawline

Didn't forget the nabatean kingdom that predated the ghassanids too
Grenadier_Hanz
Arabs have been in the Levant, and Palestine, for thousands of years. There's archeological evidence going back to the nabatean kingdom and even older. Plus, it's not like the Hebrew tribes always lived there. They left Egypt and conquered it from the Canaanites.
P.S.
Claims from 4000 years ago hold exactly 0 weight in the real world and is a completely nonsensical thing to bring up. By that logic, Iran even has a claim on Palestine (Achaemenids ruled there for centuries). Italy has a claim to almost the entirety of the Mediterranean through Rome, Macedonia Has a claim to Afghanistan through Alexander's empire, and Mongolia has a claim on Poland. See how moronic that is?

This is beautiful but the devs would ruin it the same way they've ruined other recent historical games like three kingdoms and the Troy/Egypt games
Grenadier_Hanz
You had me until you decided to ban anime. Have you never watched spacetoon? You realize most of the old shows we grew up on are just dubbed anime right?
Grenadier_Hanz
Where'd that come up? I don't remember it

The ICJ doesn't seem to agree. There is plausible evidence of genocide. Also, casualties have plateaued because Israel has destroyed all civilian and medical administrations. Much harder to count bodies when there are no hospitals to bring wounded to, and no civilian defense to get them out of the rubble of buildings. If anything, the 40,000 figure is probably a huge underestimate.
Grenadier_Hanz
Wait which speech is that?
Grenadier_Hanz
This is nonsense. 70% of Israeli arms are bought from the US. For all their boasting, Israel is reliant on American support, both financially and diplomatically, to continue existing in its current form. All the US has to do is stop providing cover for the crimes, stop blocking UN resolutions , stop undermining international efforts to hold Israel to account, and stop supplying arms. These are all things the Biden administration CAN do, and he doesn't even need congressional approval for it. An isolated regime cannot survive on its own.
Grenadier_Hanz
That is patiently false. Check out any international body on this and you'll see it's outright theft. The Palestinians are internationally recognized as the owners here.
