I had it up until 5 minutes ago, worked now, finally.

Nah same issue.

GuiltIsLikeSalt

Yeah multiple times. Battle.net too.

Realms still greyed out on my end, EU.

This is why Slaanesh is so effective.

Yeah it’s quite subjective. Any version of Legolas isn’t going to make the cut in all likelihood, far too popular - and memed to death so people will love to report it - but I bet Helm wouldn’t raise too many eyebrows.

Helm Hammerhand would almost certainly pass the requirements actually. It’s to stop names that clearly don’t visually appear as names, like BigMac McFlurry the orc mage or Sexy NakedElf the night elf warrior. Naming yourself after other fantasy names has practically never been an issue unless they’re very specifically banned by Blizzard (like Sylvanas Windrunner probably is).

Please no one take John Stormwind, I have it reserved, thank you.

I'm not sure what you're saying? The whole point that Blizzard made now is that they have 'one big megaserver' so we can't end up with ghost servers since both factions have to be populated.

We will now have two for people that want a form of a PvP ruleset. Yes, one got "RP" in front of it, and I'm an RP enjoyer myself, but 90% of the server will still mostly ignore it (beyond adhering to name rules etc). Which ruins that whole plan.

My exact point is that in the past they didn't do this and it always lead to a massive imbalanced faction population after 4-5 months.

If Forever is meant for Forever, they'll need to think about this.

The faction lock is per ruleset?

Yes if you ignore that RP-PvP is effectively a second PvP ruleset megaserver. But again, that's not what has happened in the past.

As we have seen in classic and SoD, given enough time, people will migrate to the server where their faction is dominant. Almost every server since Classic release ended up either majority alliance or majority horde, ruining most world PvP opportunities.

Blizzard has said they wanted to prevent this by forcing all PvP players to one faction, hence the faction lock, preventing people from being able to migrate and get a dominating faction per server.

Since they will now effectively offer two PvP servers, it will probably happen again unless they take this into consideration. And they would need to do so within the next 8 hours since they can’t exactly go back and undo it once people make different factions per server.

Unfortunately some people are aggressively against discussing this very realistic outcome, I suspect it’s mostly people that want to play both Horde and Alliance on PvP servers and will just pray history doesn’t repeat and faction populations stay healthy.

But yes, I’m surprised this hasn’t been a bigger consideration seeing as we’re about to make name reserved characters and at that point there is no putting the genie back into the bottle anymore.

literally not a single person apart of you asked this, they are different rulesets, completely separated.

Seems needlessly aggressive there, but ok, historically this has happened on every iteration of classic including SoD. But you can ignore history if you prefer.

In theory, yes, in practice not so much. I’ve always played on RP-PvP servers when given the choice, and although the population is usually smaller, the majority of it is still PvP minded players just looking for an alternative server.

Realistically, the RP-PvP ruleset will mostly be PvP players and in smaller amounts those that also RP. I think that’s absolutely fine, but it does entirely stop Blizzard’s thought process behind keeping healthy faction numbers with ‘one mega server’.

If you wear the whole wailing caverns viper ‘fang’ set you get a snake form.

Which is awesome, hopefully we can unlock it permanently.

Just start running before the gates are open, like you’re charging up.

I see this as an absolute win.

Wildhammer dwarf travelers.

Although they didn’t exactly add much (in the beta) to dwarf shaman lore, there is a Wildhammer dwarf quest giver (not Shaman exclusive) who is a shaman spying on dark iron dwarves in Dun Morogh. He specifically travelled to Dun Morogh, the idea is there’s more of him teaching Bronzebeard dwarves.

Tank shaman.

PUH-LEASE.

You, him and the ranged warrior should group up. Get a dedicated bandage healer and one more wacky idea and start timing how long getting through dungeons takes you for science.

If only you could see any gear as a Druid, always hard-countered by aesthetics. My one gripe with the class, lol.

Cobra form is neat though, can't wait to see what other forms they add.

Tank shaman when, plz.

Side note, I really wish they would give Balance Druids some actual nature things as a core ability. Moving Insect Swarm to the Balance tree was a good move. But I can't believe it's been 20 years and Druids hardly ever use any plant/insect based abilities as a core functionality. Yeah there's wishy-washy green effects when you're Resto, but with Druids being so prevalent in the lore, it's always been surprising to me there's hardly any actual plant casting going on. I guess we got Malfurion dragging that Orc underground with roots in that one BFA cinematic, but damn, give us more of that.

Balance just being a big laser chicken has always been so odd to me.
