I saw a post about this new product on r/ProxyEngineering but it wasn't a comparison or anything, rather a reminder that something new was built. I guess people are just evaluating themselves first and later on someone will surely come up with some sort of comparisons benchmarks to evaluate all of the big providers that are out there, my suggestion would be to stay aware of the news/ new posts etc
Guiltyspark0801
What do you mean?
Guiltyspark0801
I noticed this too within the OPs provided source, but maybe to collect the whole data took 6 days, however, to fully establish and run the code successfully took 3 weeks, that's just an assumption I guess
Guiltyspark0801
Well it seems that you got a bit of an exposure lol

I am following that lawsuit too, mainly on this subreddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/redditstock/comments/1wvdmu1/case_update_for_serpapiperplexityoxylabs_lawsuit/

This has to be the highlight of the week, I will definitely pin this post. Thanks for sharing u/elgordooo17 if you see any updates within Hugging Face, let us know, the topic is worth discussing. Also, appreciate it for sharing links, as I noticed that some people just write whatever without any sources, hard to keep track and believe what's true, what's not. Keep up the good work.

The “changed my life” is a bit crazy I guess. I personally would be okay for something that reliably handles a boring daily or weekly task without needing constant supervision
Guiltyspark0801
If you could share more information, I will gladly help you. However, right now, I can't begin to even understand where the issue is
Guiltyspark0801
Thank you! Glad someone finds this useful. As for Dobby on f droid, I'm afraid I don't know anything about it, but you can create a thread and maybe someone will be able to help you, after all, this sub is about that, finding help, sharing knowledge, builds, advice etc.

Nice of you to take the initiative, I've started writing these some time ago, and noticed that the community really liked these posts.
Also, for anyone interested to teach the community a thing or two, add this "(Learn with us)" before the topic so people would know that this is related to initiative :)
Guiltyspark0801
I see, thanks for explaining!

That's an oddly specific number of requests, any reason behind it? Genuinely curious why this exact number

Took it straight from your website:
New Unlimited Web Scraping API - Scrape, crawl, and search the live web without limits.
Priced by concurrency, not volume: no credits, no multipliers, no paying for failed requests. Fresh from the page, never from a cache, because we own the supply.
My question, do you have your own index from which you scrape? Similar to how Google/Bing has their own indexes? What's the logic behind this?
Guiltyspark0801
What bots in particular you have in mind? Do you mean the bots should automatically purchase something?
Guiltyspark0801
How many providers do you realistically need to test before you can trust the comparison? Testing 15 providers sounds like a full time job on its own and a regular Joe does not have the time for that. Also, regarding the comparison of the providers, is there an actual framework for this or does everyone just do it it based on vibes and whichever blog post ranked first on google? Coz that's what I think everyone does, they just throw random metrics and call it a day.

Why am I not surprised. I mean, they already had an issue with the SDK thing going on on all of their Smart TVs, and they just shot themselves in the leg again. Audio recording? That's just crazy, do they not know how strict GDPR regulations are in EU, or CCPA in the US, Canada's PIPEDA? Hell even the rest of the world with their equivalents. This was the last nail to the coffin for LG, sorry but that's beyond messed up
Guiltyspark0801
Nah, not yet, but who knows, we might collab in the future :)
Guiltyspark0801
I doubt that there is a free way, even so, I wouldn't trust these scores. What I did in my experience was choose a provider, go to their customer support and inquire about the quality of their IPs, it's probably the most legit ways and this way you will not be perceived incorrect info from those scam sites
Guiltyspark0801
Better luck next time, had to urgently pick up a friend :'(
Agreed, I stopped trusting what is marketed on their main pages
