The best one. Even funnier when you find out it’s the furthest thing from a game show and it’s just a song thumbnail

HTG_11

What’s the last one on absolute cinema tier

Interesting question. A multitude of songs come to mind for differing or similar reasons. Third sanctuary is a common pic for obvious reasons, it’s theoretically difficult to make a song like it and have it sound good, but there not many layers to it.

Next is Undertale, it’s a long songs and builds up to a climax, similar to Dreiton which is parallel I get sometimes. It’s a masterpiece but is it technical? In my opinion no. The arrangement builds up wonderfully but ultimately, it’s very simple melodies you’ve heard throughout the game come together for one resolution.

Amalgam is also an underrated piece. It’s a… well… amalgamation, of very unorthodox sounds and samples. There’s barely any actual instruments in the song and especially at THAT one part it becomes quite layered and complex while sounding somewhat catchy, and all that plus evoking exactly what it intended to.

Another underrated one is respite. It lacks the arranging depth of some other songs listed because it’s just a piano, but the piano that is there is heavily complex and beautiful, especially that one chord that “fails”, I don’t know how better to describe it, but it always makes me wanna cry. From a melodic lens, this is one of the most complex Toby moments imo.

Yooo it’s been a minute. How are things faring for you since the great calamity fallout

Also AUiR

Shinukaikiruka. It’s still a garbage jojos ending, but as a song it’s decent. At least the first 15 seconds or so. The steer baur luhhh part and onward is straight buns but opening is unironically catchy, I find myself singing it at times. Though maybe it’s a placebo effect as I associate it with the meme

Nah I was just bullshitting to show how polarized powers get into Touhou. But yeah second person actually does have that ability with no catch. She straight up stacks stones really good, granted she’s a god, but like calamity in a way, that title alone doesn’t necessarily mean immense power

HTG_11

Perhaps…

HTG_11

This. Plus the fact that calamity powerscaling is really nothing crazy at all. New lore made the more down to earth. Last I checked, even xeroc himself is continent level at best.

Meanwhile we have Reimu who has the ability to straight up not lose if she’s in a good state of mind. Or the feared eika ebisu who’s really fucking good at stacking stones

HTG_11

Canonically, Touhou. By an insurmountable degree
