I feel like the answer to the question is really more about what one considers the definition of “rival” to be.

I don’t understand how that went on for 7 years.
Like very clearly OOP didn’t feel the same level of emotional attachment as is typical for a 7 year relationship. That on its own is fine. If her ex was expressly down for an atypical relationship. But he seemed to be deluding himself this was a “phase” and OOP would “settle down” with him if he just waited long enough or won her over more.
Should’ve never continued that long.

You put Shiv and Bebop above Infernus, Solomon and Mirage. What is happening?
Also, Apollo bottom tier? Is it because he’s like a student or something because he is hotter than most of the cast I would think.
Half_Man1
My theory is he wishes to perpetually repeat the ritual hoping to trap the patrons in a never ending deadlock.
I’m assuming the heroes can’t perceive the repeats but the patrons can.
Half_Man1
That detail actually really bothers me and makes me more inclined to believe this story is fabricated.
Half_Man1
Awesome artwork!
You got the Vaatu and Rava icons on them though! I thought that theory was dead lol.
Imho they’re Yin and Yang.
Half_Man1
Eggman.
The whole baron aesthetic is on point and fits into building that contrast between him and the animal cast.

A few of them got arrested back in 2012 and the Russian government declared them an extremist group recently.

Every adaptation of Terra has been better than her OG version, who the writers at the time didn’t view as a victim to Slade’s grooming as she was coming on to him…
Like at the time they were writing her to be a fully backstabbing lowlife and seemed to forget she was also an impressionable child.
Half_Man1
What if Pocket also wins though?
Half_Man1
You put Violet way high up above Paige and Graves yet Warden and Venator that low???

Bisected bisexuals

Is Mistress Death to obvious an answer?
Also, feel like you got an outsized X-men influence there. Wild Colossus is Strength not the Hulk. Or Reed and Sue for the Lovers.
Half_Man1
Nice OC there!

It’s too bulky looking for my tastes. Looks like something that is on its way to being like Kyle’s.
I kinda prefer the idea of John using a classic domino mask and I don’t care how antiquated or impractical it might look.
Half_Man1
I like Pavi more but Nisha is being set up for a more compelling arc right now.

Unless the original Masters are extinct, there’s always potential for redevelopment of the old forms and rediscovery of lost techniques.
Luckily, we’ve seen the Sky Bison survive. The water spirits are presumably fine given the absence of crazier things happen. So we just gotta hope the dragons population bounced back and the Badger Moles staying underground gave them a better chance.

I for one crave more Daemin and Zi shenanigans

The style of bending itself is very similar as well.
Imho they deliberately designed Elloran brigades as spiritual successors to the same pro-bending style of combat.
Light on your feet, favoring quick burst like movements but honestly hugely lacking in the same power we’ve seen invoked in other techniques or by master level bendings in the franchise.
Jae punching air bursts at the cyclone in episode 1 made me think that, and while we’ve seen some creative moves (Karthik stomping an air blast to pick up Pavi), none of it is really the same iconic, mastful style bending from early franchise. Agam maybe is the most impressive thus far
To me, that’s all on purpose demonstrating the degradation of skill and knowledge caused by the Cataclysm (and to some degree the cosmopolitan nature of Elloran history).

My theory is that Asami passed away and whoever inherited Future Industries saw Spirit Energy as “fair game”, potentially after Korra and Asami specifically protected access to that technology with contracts or intellectual property arrangements specific to Future Industries.

If the fire bender was raised at one of the poles they might struggle to actually achieve early bending considering the cold seems to negatively impact fire bending ability.
By contrast, the Fire Nation is an island chain surrounded by ample opportunities to water bend. That bender would be more ruthless and maybe less refined or powerful than someone learning from water benders, but still effective imho.
Half_Man1
The bending is weaker.
Tenzin would’ve destroyed that cyclone in seconds Jai was stuck throwing punches at back in Episode 1.
As a result of the cataclysm a lot of the mastery level of technique seems lost. In Ellora in particular every bender we see seems to almost exclusively focus on the same light punching pro-bending-esque style.

I do think we’ll see Nisha unblock some chakras that Pavi might struggle with or be unable to do, but I think it’ll be in the same overall order as they go across the map from Haven to Haven.
Celeste and Lilah on a date in the background?
