Well he obviously can't address the concern because it will make him look bad. Duh.

My general point is when you retire matters. Suppose you retired in 2000 heavily invested in Amazon only. Your nest egg would've gone down over 90%. That would've killed your SWR and you would've depleted your investment like 2-3 years after retirement.

Hardcover

Correct. But depending on how much surplus they started with that 17 years could've come close to depleting their investments leaving then with not much capital left for the next 9 years.

Hardcover

Awesome they were able to retire in 2009 even after a market crash. Then experienced an amazing bull run over the next 17 years. If you shift that retirement entry point back to 2000 that would've been a very different 17 years.

Do a hybrid approach. 529 some. Earmark some in traditional investment accounts.

I knew of a guy who took the two dogs and gave them away before declaring to his wife he wanted a divorce.

They gave him real headlights to flash with.

Chick Hicks prequel? Bring back Michael Keaton. I'd be into that.

Yeah it affects your pay so all of it.

I believe it was about 20%. Could be more depending on your level because it affects stock awards too.

Probably not as feasible for you with 3 but I have just the twins and twice a year we do solo trips with each kid. Like this summer I flew to California for a week with just one kid while the other stayed home with mom. Then the following week I did it again with the other kid. It gives each of us and each of them solo time with each other. And having just one makes it so easy and agile for travel.

I want to drive the antique firetruck around Main Street at Disneyland.

R35 GT-R. CBA with a sorted transmission. That's what I did.

Did you smell it?

Short! That's why you should go off OP's pic with the measuring tape.

Before kids I got the cheapest room. With kids now I get suites with separate bedrooms.

Vans are great even if you're not using the third row. Sliding doors, especially automatic ones, are great for kids. And it's great to be able to throw bikes and strollers and anything else in the back.

Hardcover

Also easier to find and cheaper used because all the racer boys want that Type R badge.

Yeah the headline in my notifications made me think the plane crashed.

911 is one of the best cars you can get as far as depreciation goes. $30k hit now but keep it a couple years and it could very well still be the same. And $30k relative to your worth is such small beans. If you had bought a e class benz or something you'd be down way more.

But yes, the chase is often the best part.

Everyone is snobby about something. Just gotta find your thing to stick your nose in the air about.

Hardcover

Didn't even look shaded though.

Maybe forgot to factor in property appreciation? But yeah rental properties are a headache. Thinking of doing a 1031 into a DST purely to stop being a landlord.

It started with furniture. Then fake fire in the fireplace. Then coloring the dead grass green. Now full on fake landscaping/hardscaping. I've also seen totally fake houses due to "DADU potential"
