I'm just now realizing that "orbital sander" wasnt a joke about blasting the pan with a space laser

My favorite is still the guy a few years ago who cooked some mushrooms in a cast iron pan and then thought the fond was rust and took it to his garage and sand blasted it.

Which i guess is one way to make sure it's clean.

Years back I was on a solo backpacking trek and was way, way out on a trail that at the time at least was not super frequently trekked.

I rode out a wild storm in my tent and in the middle of the night there was a massive earth shaking crash.

In the morning I saw that a massive tree, easily 3 feet in diameter had fallen and its trunk sat 15 feet from my tent.
