Do an internet search for El cheapo brinkman mods.

Some are more precise than others.

Most basic ones hold 335-385 when set to 350.

Yours is a nicer one and probably holds to within 5-10 degrees.

It's fine.

I'm 4 years post divorce, she took the dog and left me with the kids.

Things are much better for me now.

You will get there.

HeadOfMax

I could probably fix these.

I'd wager there is a burnt leg of the bake relay on the relay PCB, I've seen it on many dacor stoves.

I actually took down a dacor microwave just like this for the sole purpose of cleaning the grease from inside it last week.

Also that's not the model number sticker. I think they are behind the grille below the control panel. You have to look through the slits just under the panel.

Alas I'm in Chicago.

I have to order some whirlpool orange relays.

I saw the same exact oven today this one would start and then turn off after a minute. The next time it turned on it would run for less time.

Can you get me a better shot of the writing on it?

Is the noise from the compressor or the condenser fan by the compressor?

HeadOfMax

That's going on my list

HeadOfMax

If you have exec membership Costco should have given you an extra year warranty already

HeadOfMax

Yes that could be it but I haven't gotten too far into your model to know for sure.

I will say the post covid whirlpool pcbs have been pretty crappy

HeadOfMax

I've used wire brushes and pulled the elements to use a blowtorch with a wire brush.

I don't see anything exposed in the pic, the rest should burn off hopefully

HeadOfMax

Idk without seeing how it looks after being cleaned.

These elements are far cheaper than a board would be if it shorts and blows out the board

HeadOfMax

GTFO with this spam garbage.

These dsi ignition systems can be finnicky. They rely on a solid ground to verify flame and will shut down early if they don't.

You should ohm out the temp probe, 1100k at room temp and that resistance should go up evenly as to heat it over a surface burner. If it jumps around I'd replace the probe.

If it is solid you might have an issue with the board being able to send the correct voltage to the sensor. If the voltage hitting the sensor is low the voltage coming back after being limited by the sensor will be low and it won't ever sense the correct temp.

In addition listen to it ignite. If it clicks lights the keeps clicking or shuts off try the bake electrode first but you might also need the dai board and to make sure the burner is grounded to the chassis properly.

Can she run for some sort of public office?

HeadOfMax

That sounds expensive.

Someone do the math on that.

HeadOfMax

Are there threads under the handle or is it smooth?

HeadOfMax

Go away

HeadOfMax

Go away

HeadOfMax

My worst fear as someone with a family

HeadOfMax

That does not happen often though.

I've been working on them for the better part of a decade and have never had to trade rails.

Once the whole drawer assembly because the wheels burnt and once I had a motor board burn.

HeadOfMax

Lots of people. I repair these for a movie l living.

Maybe. Also ask is it's still drying

I'd she uses powder she could be using too much, tsp-tbsp is plenty

HeadOfMax

Leave dirt on the dishes so the soap has something to do or don't use soap

HeadOfMax

Not a bad idea, something I need to do as well.

I drive a tiny car plus I have a lot of work tools in the truck.

Looks great

HeadOfMax

Code by me wants the gap but they also want the gap sealed with flame retardant sealant
