Feelings are hard and you could benefit from therapy or a support group so that you can let it out without worrying about your family's reactions.

You are not a bad parent for not interacting 100% of the time. She will cry and fuzz when you enforce that but she will learn that mom is not a 100% of the time resource. It has worked through the ages.
