Barkolyst was funny, but would have been out of place, so I get why it got the doggolyst treatment. Sadly.

Whilst I do love doggolyst and I know it's what it'll be called by the community rather than its actual name, I get why it's not called that in-game.

But Basker? Hasting? The worst is Laika. Come on, have some imagination. Every single space dog has been called Laika, or close to. Yes, Brisket was a joke, but it at least had some soul.

I'm sort of rooting for Canilyst, at least it's close to making sense rather than being arbitrary or self-gratifyingly referencial.

Those... are all very boring. Like, deep-level boring. They feel very unimaginative and uninspired. I expected better.

Updates should be available across all platforms. You don't want to update on a certain platform, fine, give us a download to apply the patch manually.

Even physical copies did that for a long, long time before the digital-only era started. And at least then most games were sold as feature complete and mostly bug-free (they weren't, oh boi they weren't), we didn't get a game with the expectation of a day one patch and a thousand little bug fixes after that.

If the update is free, everyone should have access to it. If you chose to make it a paid upgrade and only sell that upgrade on some platforms, that's something else.
