Taking part of a hackathon totally helped me. Look into that 👍👍

An intentional savings app in my phone: really helps to keep my savings and expenses under control. It is a habit now to log everything two or three times a week. I think when something becomes a habit or part of your daily routine, it is a good product for you.

HippoTwo

Compulsive buying: better think 2 or three times

Darkness, we didn't have light bulbs at that time

Does windows 11 consume more power and CPU than windows 10?

HippoTwo

This

I like your setup. Is the sound straight from the amplifier or is it recorded with an external microphon pointing the amplifier?

Yes! I don't like too much the heat in summer!

HippoTwo

I think just add a fake hand movement 😉 there is a way to do it in premiere, but also in davinci resolve! Nice video! I also record busking sessions! Where is this?

HippoTwo

This is an Industrial Revolution: we just need to adapt, but we need the basics!

HippoTwo

I mean it is already happening: software engineer jobs are popping up everywhere!

Computer Science courses will eventually integrate Machine Learning and AI. The thing is that, by the time you finish the course, the technology will be already ahead of your course. I started Computer Science this year for a reason: I used AI to build things, but knew nothing about coding. I want to learn the basics, but you need to find a course that is already integrating AI in its modules! Computer Science pre AI era is not enough anymore. Also to compensate your learning career, participate to hackathons and labs online that use AI coding agents: I think this is where the industry is going. As for pre AI coding era, learn the fundamentals, we will all need that to understand what an AI coding agent is doing.

HippoTwo

True, but I need to learn the basics!

I think “effortless” is not the problem. From what I can grasp in your post, your life should be already effortless as you feel blessed and looks like you have everything you want. I think here the main problem is to give a meaning to your life. Try something out of your comfort zone, interact with people more. Get out of your cocoon 🐛

HippoTwo

I’m 40, and just started Computer Science at the University 😆

HippoTwo

I would focus more on alternative things like apps that create custom QR codes or mini landing pages like linktree, but with busking in focus. I still haven’t thought about it, but digital music sheet apps are highly competitive

HippoTwo

I also wanted to do the same in the past, but after a good research I found that SongBookPro has everything we need already. I’m not related at all with the app, but it is genuinely well built, it also has a one time payment, no subscription. Have a look, you might find some things missing in the app, but I think overall has all the essential features for busking.

Maybe build up a solid dividend income stream from now on. With your salary it won’t take much to build a solid position that you can then use in your retirement.

HippoTwo

So ideally how would you set the percentages bread on low/medium/high income?
Something like this:
Low: 50/20/30
Medium: 50/30/20
High: 40/30/30
?

I’m just throwing numbers there, but genuinely interested in your opinions

HippoTwo

I believe any little you can save should be praised. The rule is just a base indicator for someone with no financial literacy

HippoTwo

But this is very investing focused right? Not everyone is an investor here. But I like this alternative rule, I am an investor myself. Did you find it in some books you read, or is it something you came up with yourself?
